Worst experience I've ever had in a long time. I used to work at Burger King myself in the past and some of the things I witnessed would've gotten me fired on the spot had I been them. I will never go back to this location on N.14th st ever again.

I had been made aware of a change in management so I gave this store a new chance. I ordered the Whopper Jr and a small fry. The JR came out hot, fresh, and delicious. I detected the slightest hint of salt and pepper which made the flame broiled flavor pop. Every layer placed on like I remember from my younger years. If you are like me and had almost given up on BK. Give the BK/QT location on 14th street another try. I was blown away with how much that store has changed.

Unfortunately this is the only Burger King near by. And for been in a super busy area their service is extremely slow.. wait times are 20-30 min for your order.. even if it's as simple as nuggets. Friendly people working there but, it always seems that every time I go I get either extra stuff they charged me for or missing things. I wish they can get their things together I bet they could be booming on business!

Boy working registers whining about not working anymore, not staying...so of course our order was wrong..ordered Big Bacon King & 1 whop jr but recvd 2 whopper jr???? We were traveling thru so didn't see until miles down the road.

Worst place to eat that i have ever been too! Got three orders of chicken fries and the very first one i opened was soggy and was raw on the inside, i couldn’t eat my lunch and was scared to take it back up to the counter! The guy that was in there with tattoos and glasses was yelling and cussing at the other girls working… my bf went to pay with cash and the guy walked away from him so he just paid with card and was being very rude all together yelling out stuff… i have never been to a BK this bad ever!!!

when we walked in there was a guy with tattoos and glasses yelling at the two girls/cussing at them and he threw his head set down and we was ignored for a couple minutes then he asked if we had been helped and i said no so we helped us my fiancee went to hand him cash to pay and he walked away so he just used his card, we had three orders of chicken fries when i got one they was soggy so i broke one open and you could see that they wasnt cooked all the way....worst BK ive ever been to ever!!!!! i couldnt even eat my food, and was scared that if i did take it back up it probably wiuldve got spit on! he was talking to one of the customers and was yelling while talking to them then started talking about how he cant get a multi bedroom house cause someone with more money always takes it from him cause he makes s*** money! i will never eat there again!

I quit Burger King . I hate the Grease smell . Use to be my favorite eating place. Better then MC Donald's. I like WENDYS . GOT THICK BUGERS AND HARDEE'S. THUMB UP . DEPENDS WHO WORKING .

Terrible place, food gave to wrong person first, who pawed through it, then watched them repackaged the food and then gave to me, no uniforms, even corrected the order to the employee, and the replacement food was wrong. BUT don't take my word for this... Take a look at the last state inspection..."Burger King, 4801 NE 14th St., Des Moines – During this Dec. 15 visit, the restaurant was cited for eight violations, including the lack of a certified food protection manager. When the inspector noticed that employees were not washing their hands for at least 20 seconds between tasks and were instead washing their hands under running water for a few seconds, he intervened. In response, one of the employees laughed and resumed working in the kitchen.Inside a walk-in cooler, the inspector found sliced ham that was measured at 55 degrees and shredded cheese that was measured at 44 degrees, both of which had to be discarded. In addition, sliced tomatoes, lettuce and sliced cheese were not properly marked with the time they were removed from the refrigerator, which meant the staff was unable to say whether they remained safe to use.The inspector also noted two stacks of beverage cups that were directly on the floor after falling from a shelf. Also, a complete copy of the most recent routine inspection report was not posted for public viewing, and instead only the first page of the most recent report was posted in an area behind the front counter and above eye level.The inspection was in response to two non-illness complaints. One complaint involved pest control, which was deemed unverified, and one pertained to the personal hygiene of the staff, which was deemed verified. One of the complaints also alleged violations related to equipment and cross-contamination, which was not verified.During five separate inspections in 2022, the restaurant was cited for a total of 35 violations. During a September 2022 inspection that resulted in 12 citations for violations, the inspector noted that the restaurant had failed to submit a response to a previously issued warning letter from the Iowa Department of Inspections and Appeals. Because the business had not responded to the warning letter, the inspector discussed with the staff the long-term corrective action that was needed to address the repeat violations.

Employees sit in lobby with drive thru headsets on but can’t attend to the drive thru. every time we come through on 14th it’s the same thing. Very annoying.

I went to the drive-through , the hours said they were opened until midnight on Fridays and Saturdays. To my surprise, and to another driver behind me Clearly was upset. If you are going to be closed during hours that you have displayed on your window as if you are opened then you should be opened or you should have a A posting stating that you are closed for whatever reason instead of making me waste my time calling trying to get somebody to answer the phone to see why no one is coming to the window or stating that they are closed due 2 da da da da da da da da da. This was the waste of my time as it was for others as well.. Very disappointing that a franchise this big cannot accommodate their customers for such times that are posted. Correct it.

I wish I could give negative stars. This place has never ever given me a good experience. We pulled in last night to order food around 6:45. The doors were locked so we went to the drive thru. They took our order and literally never came to the window to take our money. At 6:55 we're knocking on the window and a dude looks at us and just walks away. My husband went inside even to ask someone to come take our money to pay for the food we ordered and nothing. We will never return here, ever. That is inexcusable.
