Bussines hours is a joke , they never open at 10 am .. It might be a good idea to change the hours as a courtesy to the customer and not waste our time when it's not even open yet!! Very disappointed!!

We have been here once for dine in and twice for takeout. As someone who is from a Mexico border area and grew up eating Mexican food , this is some of the best mexican food i've found In iowa. Specifically, he guacamole is the best that I have Found in iowa since I moved here years ago. We have had nachos, burrito, tacos, and a couple dinner plates , and everything has always been good. The Rice and beans don't have as much flavor or seasoning, but to be honest, I don't usually eat them anyway. Definitely recommend. Two entrees (fajitas and huge nacho plate), two guacamoles, plus tax and a 20% tip was under sixty bucks (my sons budget)

We gave this dive a chance and really wish that we went with our gut instinct! All of the food we received was VERY bland. Their cuts of meat are cheap and VERY fatty, it was totally disgusting! I have been cooking Latin food for over 30 years and would not recommend this place! Also, the young waitress with braces that waited on us barely spoke English. I speak Spanish and she still got our order wrong. The attention of both waitresses were more on the men sitting at the bar. We will never go here again, and mark my word...this place won't last long. Stay away from the gorditas & taco birria, it's the absolute worst, along with their odd menu. Most places give you rice & beans with your food, we had to order them as sides at more of a cost, and they were both super bland. They should stick to serving alcoholic drinks, it's probably better than their food.

Des Moines has so many hidden gems and here's another one! I know, no one thinks of Iowa as a state to find quality and legitimate Mexican food - but I promise this place delivers! It's an elevated Mom and Pop with lively music and authentic Mexican food. Every dish was so divine and danced across my palate. The customer service was top tier. Staff were so friendly and personable. Definitely schedule a lunch date here! The huarache was fantastic. As I said, authentic Mexican dishes are here!

Located on Army Post Road, it is serviceable but that's about it. I got the Burrito Chicano which was about a 4 out of 5. My companion ordered the nachos which she said were possible the worst nachos she has ever had. I tasted them and the beef was literally tasteless. The dish had the missing jalapeños and the cheese was nearly nonexistent. Also the chips came to the table at room temperature and the salsa was very bland. This place needs to up the game in a town with lots of Mexican if they want to make it another year. Service was good. Ambiance was typical.

Very expensive food. Nothing extraordinary simple plate of fried rolled tacos( 4 ) 12.99 no rice no beans just 4 rolled tacos. street tacos are way more expensive than anywhere I been including taco trucks, I ordered a gordita with out the sauce it was too spicy to eat it. horchata is not made from scratch it taste like the store bought powder why trick the customers most of us had real horchata. Not the experience I was hoping for this was my first and last time. And I realize prices have gone up buy this process are ridiculous.
