It is located by Drake in a 3 restaurants in one type eatery. Great for the students alike as there are choices. I like their 2 Taco deal, but their chips need to be salted and maybe kept in a warmer environment as they don't take long to get extremely cold. I've seen some swear by their burritos as a daily must have for lunch. I recommend if looking for a quick meal.

It was okay. The food was tired (had been out awhile) and supply was thin (they were out of multiple items). The dining room was kind of dirty and they had WWE playing on the TVs.

Fresh pressed tortillas!!!!! Need I say more? The ingredients, including meat, are freshly made, and you can taste the difference. I definitely would choose this over the competition

Fresh made Taco shells. Who knew? I was throughly impressed at the freshness of all the ingredients and meat. It was truly delectable. I got Steak Tacos and Veggie Nachos. The Queso could use more seasoning, but all in all, it was good.

Fresh pressed tortilla, loaded with meat and whatever toppings this steak and chicken burrito was top tier a d then they finish it off on the griddle for a nice char on both sides! Would definitely recommend looking forward to going again. Also didn’t know there were three restaurant options (a fried chicken and a Mediterranean hummus restaurant) at the one on University Ave so it really can be a one stop shop for a variety.

Food is a little expensive. Home made tortillas is a plus. Employees not friendly at all.

Went here during Drake Relays. I had a burrito with chips and salsa. It was so good! Very filling! Reminded me of pancheros and/or Chipotle style when you make your burrito. The burritos are smaller than pancheros though.

Fernandos is always a great place to get excellent food. My personal favorite is the Cajun chicken tenders, which now puts canes to shame

The barbacoa meat in our burritos was very tender and flavorful. That would be our reason to return. Otherwise our burritos were less satisfying than what we would get from Chipotle. My burrito tortilla was burned and tasted so. Disappointing. If we return, we will try the hot salsa instead of the spicy salsa which was (to our tastes) bland. We added hot sauce to provide some spark.

The vegan chorizo was tasty, and there are all the ingredient choices you look for in this type of place. Tasty and filling.

I was so surprised when I went there and that they actually had hot sauce that was spicy. It’s so hard to find a place that has really spicy salsa ☺️

Ive eaten entirely too much food at this place. Its miles above chipotle or any other big chain. On top of great food i also really appreciate the staff! They see me practically every day, and even know what im going to order!

Best Mexican spot in Iowa by a mile, been going here for 6 years now maybe even longer, the steak burritos are the best thing on the menu in my opinion, once you try Fernando's, you won't ever think about chipotle, Qdoba, or Pancheros. Highly recommended.

Food was delicious and reasonably priced. Building was clean and new. Cashier was very friendly and helped me choose the best meal for my family. I'd say head on down the chicken strips are phenomenal ?
