Went in this morning for a Dutch letter and was very disappointed and annoyed at the THC infused beverage posters and the sign the THC petition next to the check out. You're going to lose a ton of customers. Focus on baking amazing foods and not promoting Marijuana. Jennifer-Wow what an unprofessional, disappointing response. I've been a customer for 19 years because it's truly the best bakery anywhere in the state. I bring my kids in on the weekend and they love the donuts and adorable charm of the bakery. 80% of my coworkers come on a regular basis and as of last year, the football moms out near Waukee have started coming in for larger orders for team events. Again, because it's outstanding. Sadly, I won't be back again and will let others know of your "too bad, go somewhere else" response. Such a disappointment.

While the customer service was good, the food, not so much. I ordered a couple plain glazed doughnuts. They were so dry, and tasted stale. Others in my group also bought doughnuts, and they disliked them for the same reason. Definitely different from the old Highland Bakery, and not in a good way. The canned drinks are good, though.

The champagne doughnuts are divine. Ordered online and they accommodated my requests, everything was fresh and delicious.

I've been here a few times with a pretty good experience. I appreciate they are a local business.Last Wednesday the champagne donuts I bought were beautiful as usual but were not fresh. I stopped by at 730am and my donut was hard and dried out. I bought a dozen to share at work and I did not dare to ask everyone if all the donuts were stale. Very disappointed I got old donuts at a high price.I did notice they also sell discount mystery donut grab bags on the counter. I'm afraid to know how many days old those are if the ones in the display case are old too.

They have the best carrot cake cupcakes. And delicious, old school style, airy and light French cruller donuts…I just wish they were stocked more because I frequently get there late and they are already sold out for the day!

I ordered a custom cake for my husband’s military retirement party and they knocked it out of the park. The design was great (military themed) and it tasted delicious. We did a 1/2 chocolate and 1/2 vanilla. We received a lot of comments about how good it tasted and we will be ordering again for future events! Thank you!
Delicious bakery with an interesting staff. Didn't think much when we came in and left after having a wonderful conversation with the staff. You will be surprised at the well priced pastries and artistic style designs. Highly reccomend for the sugar fiends like me. Also a good thc drink never hurts ?

Woo paid $33 for a dozen clearly expired cupcakes. Me, a fat guy and a dog couldn't shallow 2 of them. They are hard and inedible. Kinda wish I'd have gone with the obviously burnt cinnamon rolls now

Good little bakery! Their donuts are pretty solid. I got the chorizo and pepper quiche and it was great! Was one of those things that is very comforting for your stomach if that makes sense haha. They also made a king cake and we're giving out some free slices which was a really fun surprise! I wasn't expecting too much just cuz it was free but it was really enjoyable!! The atmosphere is great, upbeat vib inside and everyone is super helpful and friendly! They have a few tables so I spent the Saturday studying here and it made it very enjoyable!

Great sweets!! I had a glazed donut and it was delicious. Chose to stay and eat. There was plenty of seating. While there, the owners shared day old donut holes and day old king cake. Both were lovely. Everything is so tasty! A fun friendly bakery!
