Disappointed I went in because of the Panera Grocery option I was going to buy a gallon of milk from them because I keep getting the ads that say they are still doing Panera grocery only to get told that they are no longer offering this service...they have a sign in the cafe advertising it still, also disappointed in the fact that they shortened their hours staff is has become rude and unfriendly and almost hostile to customers. I'm sorry I didn't invent the Pandemic nor am I the reason your hours got cut Enhance your calm and realize we are all in this together. I do my part I wear my mask I wash my hands and I try very hard to lift your spirits a less hostile attitude would be appreciated.

My uncle gave the management a warning since they aren't heeding his warnings then maybe it's time for new management who can respect every aspect of living situations that also includes the homeless and people who have medical conditions. If they keep on doing this my uncle can spread through word of mouth and media that every Panera Bread can be shut down by him or his cousin if they keep their stuff up and then he can have the management give him or the people who he cares about like his family or friends their last paychecks and they can no longer work for his cousins company ever again. So I'm letting the management know heed his warnings or suffer the consequences

Typical Panera menu; food preparation is standardized nationwide so the results are almost always the same. Employees come and go, but those presently there are great. A bit pricey for what you get, but it's good eating.

Panera is always a good standard pit stop for a nice lunch that isn't FAST FOOD! We were in town for soccer, between games and wanted something that wouldn't just be a gut rot for our players. The salads and soups are a sure bet to fill you up and are always generous in their portion size. Not the first and certainly not the last Panera that we'll visit! Delicious breads and pastries to eat in or take out. Soups, salads, sandwiches. All in a pleasant downtown environment across the street from the Hotel Fort Des Moines.
