Sandwich was awful today. Chicken salad had too much pepper in it and the chicken was very fatty. All around wasn't a good sandwich today. Maybe a one off because they're usually so good

Customer service was the worst I've had in a very long time. NEVER left a food place legitimately pissed off. The older woman working was SO rude. Rolled her eyes at me and her tone was extremely disrespectful. There were like 8 people working back there and I wasn't going to leave a tip bc of her but thought it wasn't fair to the other workers. Also you need to ask your customers questions about what they want. Especially if they've never been to a pot belly before. Don't just stand there in silence. I'm a server so Im very understanding about food service workers being stressed out from it being busy but never have I disrespected a customer like that.

I forgot to ask the young gentleman's name but I think he is a managerHe and the owners should be very proud of how well he treats customers and much more that he does to make sure everything is like the customer wants or needs it to be; plus he thinks about what else I would like and respectfully asks. I rarely see anyone anywhere that takes customer service to a level that he does. I used to own and operate two businesses and customer service was taken beyond what anyone could imagine but this was decades ago and I counted on Word of Mouth Advertising. When I see anyone that is this amazing or even close to this I let them know and I have let managers, supervisors and owners know even if it involves a phone call or email that I think someone is exceptional at what they do and at times I will say they have an old soul which doesn't always have anything to do with their age and my favorite part is what I call allowing their genuine selves shine through including a sense of humor.I understand that some people have to be professionals but if they are too professional , I say they have too much starch in their collar. I was a little disappointed related to how little is on a sandwich and that what is there doesn't spread to the ends of the buns but I do appreciate the quality and this was when he wasn't there.I asked him about something I needed to be a little different so the bread wouldn't be too crunchy/chewy and he did this to help me and understood that I am not able to chew as well as I used to be able to do and I understand why many people would like the bread to be like what makes it more difficult for me to chew.It is a nice atmosphere there.I ate quickly the last time due to I saw the open and closed hours for the first time and I clean up any mess but when I was struggling to walk with all the shopping bags hanging on my walker to exit the same way I entered the door was locked and I couldn't get anyone's attention so I had to go back across the restaurant, exit and squeeze everything through the vintage revolving door and I got stuck in there for a while. They were busy doing all required to close and there was some other customers that came in about 30 minutes before they close. Not Complaining, Just Explaining.Vegetarian options: I didn't have time to notice.Dietary restrictions: I feel sure they will do the best they can to help with this.I asked for what he had recommended previously and they did have the small disposable container of Balsamic Vinegar dressing to dip the sandwich in. It really adds to it.

If you can't be nice to your customers, you won't stay in business here long.My baby mama was cravin' Potbelly, so I walked by there on my way to take my lunch break for work.Walked in, got cold shouldered when attempting small talk and complimenting how fast and efficient she was.Got an attitude in her voice when asking me what I wanted.Got almost done with making my Big Italian sub when I asked if I could also get some blue cheese added on top of the provolone, so her response was to slap the center slice of provolone not on my sandwich but back in the container of cheese after it had already touched the meat on my sandwich with an attitude like I just ruined her day then puts a small handful of blue cheese in the CENTER ONLY of my sandwich. After which looks at me with contempt or anger in her face and an irritated tone to ask me if I wanted anything else.I held back my absolute disgust at this cross contaminating, beyond rude individual and decided to not pay a ridiculous price for a sub to be made wrong and me treated like I'm a problem for even coming in.

Potbelly is one of my favorite restaurants! The food is amazing, the staff are friendly and the restaurant has really cool decorations. My favorite thing there is the vanilla shakes.

I'm visiting Des Moines and ordered with other people in the office here. What I did get with my order tasted good although I didn't get mushrooms or cheese on my sandwich nor did I get bacon on my Mac and cheese. We did get a bonus drink that no one ordered. What I did get was tasty but I will skip this sandwich store next time. Hopefully they will improve.

I have never been in a Potbelly restaurant... Having said that, I wasn't sure how to order, yet I received no help whatsoever from the two counter girls working there... I didn't realize that my sandwich was going to be toasted. I didn't want it toasted, but too late ?. Then, the next girl just stood there staring at me, so I just went to the register to pay. She finally asked if I wanted any mayo or mustard and to come back into the line and tell her. It was poor communication skills as well as poor customer service. She really didn't care at all... just looked like neither of them wanted to be there. The sandwich was just, meh. Especially since I was not able to convey what exactly I wanted to the staff. Not impressed at all.Save your appetite for Jersey Mike's! They have fantastic customer service!

Great service, really quick service, all I ordered was a strawberry shake, honestly the best strawberry shake I’ve had in a long time!! Next time I’ll leave an edit when I try some of their food.

I order delivery from this location to work and have never visited so I can't speak to in-store experience. However, always great experiences with delivery orders. Accurate, warm, delivered on time and they always find our storefront which appears to be a trick for the other delivery services in town. Delivery drivers are always friendly and professional to boot. I can't say the same for the corporate app -- when it works it's great but that's only a small percentage of the time. Lots of rewards and freebies come with the app, I would recommend as you can redeem via in person or when you call in an order.

This was my first time eating at Potbelly and I felt the experience was overall good. It was a quick and easy process and the workers were very tentative and fast. I ordered “A Wreck” sub with bacon and it turned out really good. Would definitely go back but it’s a little on the pricey if you make it a combo.
