It's a really cool vibe there. Very small but it wasn't busy at 7 on a Saturday night. Food was pretty good, definitely some interesting takes on a few things. Like the meatballs and stuffed peppers were fantastic, but the cold scallop on top of egg salad was just an odd combo. The octopus with potato was very mediocre. There's a ton of stuff to try so I know there's gonna be some things that hit and some that miss.Service was mostly fine, nothing actually bad about it, just wished they had taken the time to explain what they do there and give an explanation to at least the charcuterie board. We had to eat hustle another table get the run down to know what we even had. It's definitely a spot I will return to and explore more of the menu.

We had a great night sitting at the bar chatting up the staff. They taught us a lot about the meat and cheese on our board.Great place for a date night!

Delicious food and a great environment. My family went for Sunday brunch and was able to try their brunch specials paired with some additional food from the main menu. Overall wonderful choice with a unique selection of food and drinks.

Probably one of the most authentic tapas joints in the upper Midwest. The cook is from northern Spain. We were in spain last year and this place is on par with the quality you can expect. Great wine selection as well. If you want a tapas joint in Des Moines this is your place. Anything else is probably not a true tapas restaurant.

I loved this place, the people and the food! So nice and kind...we needed a regular table as my mother can't get on a bar stool. We were going to leave when the gentleman working there said can I help you... I said we aren't able to stay since there wasn't a regular table. He very quickly said that they do indeed have one and he would bring it downstairs right away. He also said that they generally have it downstairs but they just had a private party and need the space and just forgot to bring it back downstairs. Omg, so sweet. So we sat down and ordered way too much food because everything looked so good. We started with a mini charcuterie board. It had so much on a mini board that only cost $15. It was truly a bargain. My mother ordered the Paella and thought it was delicious too. They service was great, the atmosphere was comfortable and the food was wonderful! I highly recommend.

The food was heavenly and the environment felt like home, an Italian upscale home but home nonetheless. I recommend the Bacon Caprese panini and the porchetta sandwich, since that's what my boyfriend and I had and both were really good. I give my full recommendation! Come here for a good time. :-)

This is a fantastic modern, European-style market that curates the best local charcuterie, exclusive tap to bottle wines and luxury baked goods by Doré Bakery. Wonderful food, excellent ambiance and the service was fantastic!! Ethan took really great care of us. This is absolutely a hidden treasure in East Village. They also have specials on certain nights of the week so keep yours open for paella night.

This restaurant gives and gives and gives the best food, the best company, the best atmosphere. It’s a perfect place to grab and DELICIOUS SANDWICH and sit outside to eat.Wheelchair accessibility: No weird 1-step to get in and there is a curb cuts to stroll onto the sidewalk that’s like 3ft from the door and next to the parking. Not sure how the snow does in the winter

There are a lot of superlatives in my vocabulary that I could use to convey how fabulous the experience was here on Thursday evening! Unexpected. Exquisite. Delicious. A beautiful smaller/quaint bistro-like dining establishment in Des Moines East Village - you can't help but sort of fall in love with it as soon as you walk in the door. Service was superb - suggestions, information, questions answered, samples of wine shared, and a look at tonight's special (chicken or beef kabobs!). Our choices: half-charcuterie board and the two kabob specials - beef and chicken. You can see from the pictures how wonderful the presentation was. Of course it was delicious too. The board had two meat and cheese selections - I don't think you ever go wrong with well-aged prosciutto. Both cheeses were really splendid. A thinly sliced (maybe deep fried) focaccia was served with it giving some crunchy contrast. The kabobs were very good - the flavor in both excellent. The chicken was PERFECT - toasty yet juicy and paired with grilled red peppers. The beef was flavorful but it was served medium-well to well-done and I think that probably took away from the dish - it was what felt like the only flaw in the meal! It was paired with grilled red-onions and sun-dried tomatoes. Both kabobs were served over a well-dressed arugula salad that provided a beautiful bed for the skewers but was also very ample in size as an accompaniment. They have a smallish but very dynamic wine list! They do sell casked wine too - we didn't try that. I had a nice Pinot Grigio - a wine I've been staying away from for a hot-minute - but this was legitimately delicious and refreshing. Hubby had a Chardonnay - it came off with just a tinge of sweetness and he enjoyed it. We both had the sangria and it was bomb! Served more like wine - no ice or fruit but delicious. We were feeling a bit stuffed, so we grabbed a couple caramel and coconut macaroons, and a lavender cookie to take home and enjoy. Not surprised - they were scrumptious! All in all a great dining experience and I'd highly suggest it. We'll definitely be back! ‍ PS: I went back the next day to grab a terrific porkchetta sandwich and a couple more cookies for lunch. Nom-nom! Very good!!

4.25* (out of 5) Food: 4* Atmosphere: 5* Value: 4* Service: 4* 07/21/2023 We had not heard of this place and only stopped in because it was one of the stops on the Summer Stir. Other than the crowd caused by the Summer Stir though, we found this place to be quite unique and ended up staying for a bite to eat and a cookie. We saw a large pan of paella cooking outside on the sidewalk and saw the signs that Friday is their Summer Paella Night. Given how much we like paella, we ordered a serving. Unfortunately I didn't get a picture, but it was served in a cardboard box for carryout and tasted very good. I should point out that other orders in the restaurant were served on nice plates with silverware so the cardboard seemed unique to the paella and to go. After seeing the cookies in the display case by the front door, I couldn't leave without trying at least one of them. I ended up ordering an Espresso Chocolate Chip Cookie (see picture) and shared it with my wife. I'm a sucker for sweets...and when you combine espresso, chocolate and sea salt sprinkled on the top - you can't go wrong. It is delicious and I highly recommend that you stop by and try one yourself! If you found this review helpful, please show your appreciation with a Like or a Follow. My fiancé and I discovered Purveyor while out on a shopping day. We’ve always been greeted with a smile and friendliness. They’re quick to learn your name after stopping by a few times! The people are friendly and the food and wine is top notch. Highly recommend for a date night or a night with friends.

I simply love this place. I've only eaten in a few times, but the boards/selections/curations are SO tasty. I love the atmosphere and look of the restaurant, and all the staff are very knowledgeable about the meats and cheese and are attentive as wait staff. My favorite thing is to get Purveyor boards as pick-up options for hosting book clubs, parties, family dinners, and more. You can order online and they give you PLENTY of food. They always have it on time and have never gotten anything wrong. If charcuterie is your thing, it is a must.
