I picked up carryout from Shang Yuen yesterday and it was great. I called ahead and my food was ready in less than 10 minutes. (I would have tried the website ordering but it requires a login to order which is reasonable, I just didn't have time.) When I got there the counter service was excellent and the lady who helped me was happy to help me.I got Hot Braised Chicken (5 stars spicy) and it was perfect. The meat quality was good and not stringy. My food was still (temperature) hot when I sat down to eat. It had a ton of the entree and even came with 2 crab rangoons. I also got an order of crab rangoons and they were great too. I shared the crab rangoons with coworkers and they enjoyed them as well.I look forward to going back!

I'm sorry to leave a 1 star. I ordered chicken chow mein with the brown sauce the last three times, and everytime it is different. Very bland. I told them about it and they said they have changed owners, and they want to go by their ingredients. That is fine, but they need to change the Restaurants name. The food IS NOT THE SAME. I have asked for the owner to call me several times with no response. I talked to someone who works there, and they said why they aren't calling me back, because they probably just don't care to hear. That is pretty sad, this only helps them to be better. BE AWARE ITS NOT THE SAME. So, so sad.

My partner and I love going here as of late. Great value for the amount you get, and everything is hot and fresh.

As a top reviewer, I’m afraid I have to report the last 3 visits of bad service and food.*1- the lady was not friendly although we spend at least $60 per visit. She charged us twice- even though we showed her the debit with her business taking a hold for the amount she charged. She refused to serve us without paying again. So we paid twice. Fluke- maybe. I give the benefit of the doubt. It's inconvenient to have an extra hold period.*2 different visit, couple weeks later. She charges us once again- same excuse. “Oh I forgot to hit a button”, odd as this is the second time the same women. We AGAIN showed her our bank debit of the amount she put in- she refused to give us our paid food without “swiping” again. I’m a former fraud investigator and red flags began to rise. When we got the food it contained so much red pepper, barely edible. *I do like spicy but I’ve NEVER had it that bad. My make up melted off for reference. Ugh.Also, we watched the next two customers pay and the “worker” had no issues hitting the right button for them and not charging twice. Odd.*3 visit two days ago. We decided to take cash and when we handed it to her she did a fake laugh- and was like “oh you bring cash” and my husband said, yes we do carry cash from time to time. Again the red crushed pepper was inedible and I tried to get my moneys worth but couldn’t finish. I’ve woken up sick for the past two days. These visits were plain awful. It’s too bad because we “used” to love going there- but with these three unfortunate situations- we cannot recommend, and if she seems like she is annoyed with you, think twice on ordering.Just no!

$12 for some super wet flavorless Mongolian beef. Were no green onions and had no sweetness to it! The "fried rice" was a tablespoon of flavorless steamed rice with a few pieces of egg. The egg rolls are usually pretty good but the inside was just a big mushy mess today. The staff always put on a super fake friendly hello but get super sarcastic and snoody when ordering. I wouldn't eat here again.

Good portion size; cashew shrimp was a little bland, but General Tso’s chicken was veryyyy spicy. Crab rangoons & egg rolls were good!

I called an order in for Cashew Shrimp and an order for Crab Rangoon'. The order was ready when I arrived in 20 minutes. Crab Rangoon are some of the best I've ever had. Cashew Shrimp portion was large with lots of veggies. Enough for two meals or to share.

Great restaurant! The food is so reasonably priced and you get a large amount of food at that price. My usual go to's are the orange chicken, sesame chicken, and the combination fried rice. Their crab rangoons are very good as well. They get the food out very quickly and the staff is always kind to us. Getting take out from here is always good as well. We used to go to House of Hunan, but since they closed this has been our go to!

This has been our go to Chinese restaurant for many years. We usually have lunch . It is priced very fairly and the portion size is generous. There are many delicious entrees to choose from. We love the crab rangoon and the hot and sour soup is the best I have had. It is not a fancy restaurant by any means. If you are looking for great tasting Chinese food at an economical price and a casual atmosphere this is the place for you.

Chicken was like Rubber and the lowest quality I've ever hadThe woman with the white or grey asymmetrical hair cut speaks perfect English but if you have any complaints she loses all English speaking abilities! She said you only have 3 hours to complain about your take out and produce a receipt in order to receive a refund! After working All Day and a 30 min drive home round trip is 1 hour during times of traffic! Not counting the 15 minutes it takes to discuss whatever is wrong with your food! So I just give up! And take a 25 dollar supper loss!

My friend hooked me on spicy Sichuan chicken from Sheng Yuen and I loved it. It had tons of chicken, onions, carrots, green peppers, dry chilli peppers, green onions, bamboo shoots and water chestnuts. I noticed during Covid bamboo shoots and water chestnuts were missing and I simply thought it was due to unavailability of supplies. I ordered it the other night and it’s literally half the meal it used to be. It only had chicken, carrots, green peppers and onions. It seems chicken is different too. Crab Rangoon were still delicious as well as rice, but the main meal was meh. From reading the reviews the restaurant is under new ownership and this may be one of the reasons why food has changed in the last couple of years. That is too bad because I loved that place. Sadly, I won’t be going back as the food is just not what it used to be.
