HIT ORMISS

For some reason my photo was not included in my last post. I wanted to show exactly what it looked like. After forking through it I found 4 smashed tator tots and 6 peas and the rest was a brown gravy.

If I could give 2 1/2 stars that would be appropriate. This is TatorTtot Hot Dish. I was looking forward to the meal today but I am going to have to pass on this. 50/50 it will be edible. Some items have onion overkill where that is all you smell and they do serve left overs. Some people deliver with the tray standing up so all your food is on one edge. The delivery people are very nice though and do appreciate when it's good. But sometimes people get slack and companies think more about profit. Hope this helps to improve meals for all.

The Meals on Wheels team could not have made it easier to volunteer over my lunch. Great work all!

I witnessed a WesleyLife Meals on Wheels driver driving recklessly and violating multiple traffic laws not far from their offices just outside of downtown DSM. Driving your mini cooper like a race car when the company logo is branded all over it is not a smart move. He crossed over 2 active traffic lanes to make a right turn illegally, and sped through the turn without looking. Had there been another motorist in any of those lanes, or a cyclist, it could’ve resulted in a crash and probable injury. All of this was reported to their offices in person since they don’t answer the phone when people call. I’m sure these folks provide a plethora of invaluable services to our aging population (which are appreciated by all of us), but abusing company resources, like an expensive vehicle, and putting others at risk with reckless driving is not ok, and not appreciated in our community. This company needs to consider installing tracking equipment on their vehicles to see how their staff really drive when (they think) nobody is watching. They would probably be horrified at the results. WesleyLife: I appreciate you and what you do for our community, but your staff need greater oversight before they end up causing an accident.
