I came to Dubuque visiting for my company. I made the mistake of ordering two nights in a row. The first night I had the legendary burger, ordered, medium rare and arrived. Well done.The burger was tasty, but not worth what I spent on it. If I’m gonna spend $16 on a burger, it better be damn near perfect.I wanted to give this place another opportunity so the next night I ordered the brisket with a side of fries and coleslaw. I also ordered the lobster Mac.I’m from the south ive had a lot of barbecue in my life the brisket was dry, chalky, and chewy. Almost as though it was either reheated and also poorly cooked. Hell maybe it was even stored in a freezer at some point.Stay away from the brisket it’s absolute garbage. Do not waste your money on that.The cornbread was really good, soft sweet and buttery.The coleslaw was spoiled, I actually called back and the employee chortled and seemed uninterested.Lastly, the lobster Mac was worth it. Yes it’s an expensive dish but they do a really good job and it’s a very large portion.If you are in Dubuque, I would save your money and go to Wendy’s for a better burger and a better price. If you were looking for barbecue you’d be better off buying your own smoker and going home.I hope their beer is at least cold.Dietary restrictions: If you’re allergic to dog food, don’t eat here.
Perfect. Simple as that. One of the best burgers around. Appetizers are delicious and well portioned. Beers were all excellent. Instantly one of our favorite Iowa breweries.

I’m in Dubuque a lot for work and we have family here. This place was recommended to me by my brother in law and it was awesome. The place has a great vibe and the brisket was delicious! Their craft beers had a good variety and the PB/Chocolate stout was really good!

We went there tonight for dinner and enjoyed everything about our dining experience there. The server was very cordial and helpful, the atmosphere was great, and the food and drinks were terrific.

We went in to just have a couple of drinks and we're told that we absolutely had to sit at a table and could not sit in the bar area where there were open tables and a few seats at the bar available. The hostess was absolutely rude about it. We ended up just leaving instead of spending our money somewhere we were not welcomed.

Hostess went out of her way to be as rude as possible absolutely disgusted with the Hostess. No sign for seating, went to have a couple beers was told we weren't allowed to sit in the bar area even though we were not eating. Said we had to share a table with another group when there were several bar area tables open.
