$23 for a pour of Eagle Rare was unheard of prior to my visit since the bottle retails for about $50. Thanks Riverboat for setting a new precedent... Bartenders were popular amongst the patrons. Bar seating is a little small but offers a few TVs. Lots of seating elsewhere in the lounge, including a back terrace. Seems like a good place to start or end your night. Occasionally has live music but for whatever reason, not on the Saturday night I visited.

Skip the food, go for the drinks. Bartenders are great. Drinks are great. Food is disappointing. I've ate here multiple times while grabbing drinks and it's always been underwhelming, especially for the price. The wagyu sliders and homemade chips pushed me to finally leave a review. Chips were okay but most were in crumbles. The burger patty wasn't even close to filling the size of the bun. I edited my rating because for the drinks and the drink service is a 5. I would have rated the food a 2.

Keri, Maggie, Nick, Riley and the rest of the RBL crew are great.They are always helpful, friendly, and make some great cocktails.One of the few spots in Dubuque, that know how to make proper class drinks, like an Old Fashioned, Manhattan, Gimlet and etc.They also create some of their own signature cocktails that are also fantastic.

Keri was amazing. She was the only bartender there for 4 conferences at the hotel, never got a seconds break but she powered through and kept turning out amazing cocktails. My husband likes to order cocktails most people never heard of and she knew them all, and had the ingredients to make them. We hit up a few bars in town and this one was by far the best because of Keri.

This bar is located in Hotel Julian and is accessible to the public. This bar has 20’s/30’s decoration vibes, and was rumored to be frequently visited by “Mafia Boss” Al Capone. Our bartender was very attentive to our drink requests, and had excellent suggestions for what we were in the mood for. Highly recommended.
