It's a great winery, but we were quite surprised with the $11-12/bottle "corking fee". There are many wineries that don't charge this fee......hmmm.

Went for the beer. Fair imitation of the original Dubuque Star beer that my dad drank. Very tasty appetizers, try the charcuterie and the egg rolls. Nice setting and friendly staff.

service was ok. Live music was excellent. Pizza was out of the first two I wanted, third came out burnt to a crisp. wine selection limited and almost all sweet wines which I cannot drink. They did have wine I could drink. just limited in selection.

Drinks, food and music were great!Service was horrible. Server never returned to our table after initial order. Had planned to order more food and drink but ended up leaving.

I have been here twice, both times I was not greeted, given a menu, or talked to. So be prepared that If you want something you gave to go up to the bar and ask. The pizzas are low quality, not sure about the other items. But the pizzas are only one topping, not substitutions, which makes me think they're frozen. So $18 for a pizza does not seem reasonable when they're frozen. The vibes are good when there is live music, and the wine is good. The only thing is it's mostly sweet wine. Fruity flavors, not a lot of a white or dry selection.

I stopped with my sister and husband on a Friday night. We love their strawberry rubharb wine, and tried the chicken salad sliders on pretzel bun- they were amazing! Live music and a great atmosphere!

Service: The servers seemed not very interested in taking our food order. I somehow got them to get my order and when we needed to add something to to it, we had no luck. Our sever said "I'll be right back" and then we was her walking around the whole place but never came back for our additional order.Food: We got the mezze platter. The hummus and pepper dip were clearly from a jar. Even the pita bread was heated in a microwave. It was definitely not from an oven.Seating: Indoor seating only has high chairs and outdoor seating isn't well designed for any big sized person. Some diversity in the type of seating would make people comfortable.

Stopped here twice in 3 days, simply because we happened to walk by. Good appetizers, super friendly service, great craft beers. Overly loud guitar player today doing hippie songs, but entertaining. Outstanding museum with history of the area and the property owner, well worth checking out. The place is excellent, the building is really old but beautiful, and good selection of craft wines for takeout.

Hate the fact I can't give them 0 stars. Came in had to clear our own table to sit down. Proceeded to order appetizers, pizza & drinks for 15+ people. One of the appetizers was a meat and cheese platter for $22. No issue with the $22, we were given 6 crackers for 3 blocks of cheese and 3 meats . We had requested more crackers. After waiting we were delivered our 5 crackers and server announced it would be an additional $2. WTF! It's not the $2 but you have to be f'n kidding me! Were out! Won't be coming back here!

We had a great time enjoying a wine tasting before dinner and sitting out by the water. We also took home a couple bottles of wine.

We stopped for lunch while on our own little winery road trip & this by far was our favorite stop! The building has so much character, inside/outside seating & a full menu.We chose to sit inside as it was a windy day, decided on a few flights of wine so we could taste as many as possible & ordered food.We got the Pesto Chicken Sandwich & Shrimp Tacos. I would not change a single thing on the sandwich. Full chicken breast, bacon, amazing flavor with the Pesto sauce, cheese & the bun.. Omg, the dried tomato herb focaccia - 100%!The Tacos had good flavor & the sweet pepper slaw was amazing!! I've never had such a sweet slaw like that. We would only suggest more sauce & coleslaw on the tacos. The tortilla kind of took over & the fillings got lost inside.Once we finished eating, we were greeted by the owner, Nan. She was a pleasure to speak with & asked about our experience/food/wine. Had a nice short chat & learned new things. We will forever talk highly of this place to everyone who asks!
