Clearly this place may have had issues based on their Yelp but we stopped on a weekday for lunch and it seemed to be one of the better run fast food restaurants that I have been in for awhile. We were traveling on 20 and it was about 6 miles north. Still I don't think there that many options going from Ames to Storm Lake.
I'm sure it was a freak situation, but they had people waiting in drive thru for quite some time. We waited over 30 minutes (which i can understand with large orders, ours was not) and there was others that got there before us and still there waiting when we left. The employees were nice enough but extremely unorganized. They were running back and forth to the cars wanting our receipts to double check orders. Obviously I had a new counter person. She had trouble finding stuff on the key pad. I asked for no cheese on my hamburger and got cheese. The fries were over salted. The chocolate malt was delicious. I pulled the cheese off and skipped the fries.
