This is what a food & drink pub is meant to be. I had two nights to see what Fort Dodge had to offer I'm glad I gave Shiny Top a shot. I sat at the bar. This place is modern & clean with a dive bar vibe. You'll find friendly staff who enjoy helping their customers, especially the bartender, friendly customers, great local beer options, music playing at a reasonable level & a food menu with lots of options. Very good beer - true to profile, but still creative. Nice variety.Food was also very good. The pizza had some thought put into it - it's not just different toppings on the same base. Lunch came out fast and hot with lots of flavor.Hope to return soon.Caution to the kitchen mgr: the pre-cooked chicken on Buffalo Pizza was a miss. It was chewy and too salty. I'm from out of town and stopped in for a bite to eat and some beer, the place was relatively busy at around 8:30 pm. I was pleasantly surprised with how great everything was! I ordered an 8" Big Kahuna Pizza, as well as one of their beers on tap, Tangerine wheat beer. My girlfriend also got an 8" Margherita pizza and the Honey Badger beer.
