Brought my 2 grandkids for lunch..drove from Jefferson Iowa as we had stuff we were gonna do in fort dodge....
The crew behind the counter wereore interested in their conversations then to greet or smile or anything at us..it was 11 a.m. on a Saturday, they weren't busy, and they messed up our order..we ordered the pound of cheese balls and they brought out a pound of French fries.
Never got an apology for the mess up, never got a thank you for stopping in.
The food was delicious as usual but I do not want to hear about what someone's is doing ng tonight when I'm sitting 30 fee from the order counter..the crew needs to tone down their voices so customers don't hear the private stuff and they need to smile and be welcoming..we didn't feel welcomed at all

This place is a graveyard of what once may have been a decent dinner. The interior is incredibly run down. The supervisor was acting very hostile towards the employees who all appeared to be 15 to 16 years old. Food served here is very bland and made without much care.

Since i basically used this as a drive through place, I couldn’t give high marks for service and atmosphere. But the food was really good. We stopped there twice to pick up dinner. It was very tasty, well seasoned, and so forth. I think Tom thumb is worth your giving them a try.

Our family has loved dining here for years! Every visit is met with fast, friendly service, and amazing food. We love looking at all of the desserts in the display case, but the amazing food means we always end up taking them home!Kid-friendliness: Lots of kid friendly food options. Kids love watching the fish in the fish tanks.

Got a 4 piece light dinner for 17.00 the worst chicken I've ever had. Had to wait for it to cook and then was overcooked. Got 2 wings and couple small breast and was all dry. Last chicken I get there.

We have eaten here before twice for Takeout and it was wonderful, Tonight was the first time we dined in the only thing good about that place is it was clean. We told the guy at the counter 3 or 4 Times exactly what we wanted, I don't know if he was just not listening but he was definitely Spaced Out!! We paid $71. for 2 kids and 2 Adults, We could have gotten better food and service at a gas station!! They did give us a refund but when you are diabetic and have 2 hungry kids and it's around 7:40Pm everywhere but fast food is closed!! Save your time and you're gas and Eat anywhere else or make yourself a sandwich this way you don't waste your money!!!!!!

I haven't been to Tom Thumb in a long time, and as I was making a trip to Fort Dodge I decided to stop and get lunch for me and my wife. This place is a classic small town scratch made diner at its best. We both enjoyed our meals and I'm going to have the other half of my hot turkey sandwich tomorrow for lunch. Excellent service and quality food at a great price...A+ all the way.

Not good the food was cold and dry no flavor gave me ketchup when I asked for bbq sauce went back and told me that was it it sucks orded ribs they were all cold and no flavor probably the worst ribs I tried they had no sauces or anything to acompany the ribs it sucks would not recommend to come and eat here unless you're an old man that doesn't like flavor and wanted the plainest food

Every time I come here, the food is tasty and exactly what I expect. Today, I went for the fried shrimp dinner with two sides. The shrimp were big and perfect cooked with a nice crunch. The corn and mashed potatoes were a solid choice.This is a great local place for a quick meal.
