Loved the food so much. I had a mushroom and Swiss and I felt it was better than Culver's. My companion had a homemade tenderloin that she couldn't eat the rest of. I had a strawberry shortcake for dessert and it was warm served with whipped cream topping. We will definitely come back.

Came for breakfast in-between track events. I had a western omelet with mushrooms, and my party had hickey cakes with chocolate chips and a hillbilly skillet. Service was quick and attentive, and the food was enjoyable. It's a really great throwback family style diner.

Meat was absolutely terrible. Waitress was great and understanding but the food was not worth the cost whatsoever.

Nice small clean Cafe! Pie wasn't good. Very dry. My burger hit the spot!

The Reuben was delicious. I really enjoyed the sweet potato fries, they were not overcooked and seasoned just right. The service by Jess was excellent. The pecan pie was good, but I wouldn't call this tiny bit a slice of pie. The prices are fair, except for the "mini" bit of pie.

Not sure what I received when I ordered a chili burger. But it's drowning in chili water.. I'm no chef but this is no burger... also prices much higher than posted here.

Very nice restaurant. Standard type midwest diner food. Burgers were good and fries your typical restaurant fries. Cheese Curds were very good. Would eat here

We just had breakfast here for the first time and think we have found a new favorite to add to our list of Grinnell gems. I do love that you can seat yourself, but we were also greeted promptly and warmly. There was plenty of space and the atmosphere is clean, bright, and nicely done.My wife got the Crabcakes Benedict, and I got the Iowa's Breakfast and both were outstanding! My wife can't stand bell peppers, which we didn't know were in the crabcakes, but she said the dish was so delicious she didn't even care! I was a bit surprised at first, seeing how small the ham steak was in the Iowa's Breakfast. However, it turned out to be super thick and super juicy and was really just the perfect portion size!We both can't wait to return for lunch or even dinner since they have a full bar and quite a long list of great cocktails that seemed to be very reasonably priced. We will be back soon for sure.
