“Laid back family restaurant where the first thing they ask is if you want the menu which means they have a lot of regulars. I would be too if I lived nearby. The Philly omelet was awesome! Pancakes was tasty ”
“Christy Cream has been a staple in my family since 1996, amazing sherbet great food and the best French fries ever! I lost my dad in 2015 his favorite was Apricot, mine was Blueberry. Both those favorites were replaced by mango and Huckleberry, now I still have others like cherry, blackberry and lime! I hope the family continues running it for years and years.Kid-friendliness: It's a family place, so of course kids love it there.”
“The service was excellent. The food was fantastic. It was a 2 1⁄2 hour dining experience. I took my mother for her 81st birthday. We had a blast. I'm definitely going back again and would recommend this to all my friends.”
“Freddy was wonderful and was able to accommodate a last minute request. The brownie cake was the most delicious ice cream cake I’ve ever had. Perfect cake and great experience!”
“Tried this bar last weekend! I'm from Omaha, and the drive was so worth it! The Mile Away had great service from the moment we walked in until we walked out the door! We tried the tachos appetizer and it was SO YUMMY! Food was great and we had a nice time hanging out, drinking beer, and watching wrestling! Also, have heard they host some cool events that I am excited to go back for! 10/10 recommend”
“Glad to have found this breakfast spot. Housed in a mid century meets diner decor it has a nice mix of counter and booth seating. The wait staff is attentive and efficient at keeping the orders coming while keeping your coffee filled. The food is great - we've been in a couple of times now and everything has been delicious and enough for a sizable take home box. If you enjoy quality food in an authentic locally owned setting, this is something to try.”
“Fairly versatile menu . Appetizers Soups salads sandwiches burgers pizza enchiladas. Our server was very accommodating, taking time to explain things and listening to our needs. The atmosphere was much nicer than I expected as far as decor, but I didn't feel out of place. I love the little lamps and small fresh flowers on the table. Dad had the walleye special with Cole slaw and sautéed red potatoes. He ate it all and loved it. I had the chicken spinach and artichoke pizza. Cut party style and very thin crust but tasty. Our guests had the pork tenderloin with friends and the steak enchilada. She did not care for the fries but the tenderloin was good. The enchilada was favorable but larger than expected. All in all we will be back and am anxious to try other items on the menu. Oh and the margaritas were fantastic! Table of four was $200 with tip but we had 5 margaritas at $11 each a $30 pizza and spinach artichoke appetizer”
“Best chicken in town. Takeout is always amazing too. They don’t mess up orders. And watching the cats and raccoons eat the leftovers is a great time.Kid-friendliness: Kids will love watching the animals eat.”
“Had ice-cream and it was awesome. They had a flavor of like the candy bar-Twin Bing... If you like that, you will like the flavor combination they put together!Great service and answered all our questions! Fair Pricing for what you get!”
“This place, hands down, is the best food in omaha. We use to live right next door and sense have moved an hour out of town. However, when we do come in town we always make sure to get food here. They are absolutely the nicest people and make amazing cuisines. I get the garlic noodles and red sauce, so tasty and filling. Its great to stay and eat but its also good as a to go. We tend to have it for the next few days as leftovers. Always heats back up nicely. This place is Highly Recommend”
“I've been here plenty of times and have never been disappointed. If you are looking for a nice country drive, good food and good drinks, this is the place.”
“This is a log cabin atmosphere. I so enjoyed the onion rings. Our table ordered the fried chicken and it was so good. It was comfortable, homey and the staff friendly. So 5 stars for being at the top of their genre.”
“About a one mile walk from the City Park campground. This shop is lovely. Tables, couches, and high tops provide seating to suit everyone. They have a well-stocked library here, too. Huge variety of drinks are available, along with some pastries and burritos. My plain latte was delicious. Highly recommend.”
“Well if this isn't a small town bar right off 680 North in Ft. Calhoun. Our family lives near by and we took over the patio for my MIL birthday. It's a dark but inviting bar when you walk in, a long narrow row of tables on one side and your stndard bar on the other. A larger space holds games, and more seating. The claw machine has a particularly strong grip, and I was able to win TWO animals for my kiddos. We had a great service for a party of 15 on the patio. We started with ice cold mini pitchers of beer, and then on to the food. The burger was great, and I loved the chicken thinly sliced on top of our salads. We finished the night with lemon drop shots, and dancing on the spacious patio. George, whoever he maybe, the owner, a regular, a stranger off the street, brought over a cupcake for my MIL and kids cups filled with candy for my two kids. It was a fantastic evening and I know we'll come back.”
“I have been going to Zesto's (in Florence) over 50 years. They had the best chili foot-longs in the 70's and 80's, when they were using O'Briens Brick Chili. Unfortunately, you can't buy or find O'Briens chili anymore. The chili they are using now cannot compare to O'Briens, but they are still good. Overall, they have great food and service.”
“First time stopping in and she owner or young ladies in the shop today were so nice and welcoming!! I've never had oxtails before so this was my first time trying them & I will definitely be back ! They had a lot of flavor & the candied yams were really good!”
“This bar is the friendliest bar I've been to in Benson! From the owners to the bartenders and regulars, they all were so nice and treated me like they have known me for years! I highly recommend this bar for all!! Check out the pics below!”
“Favorite Hangout... back in the 70's! Went to HS in Missouri Valley and had a horribly made fake ID, which was used regularly at Papa Joes. The owner, Dean Dewaele, founded it in the early 70's? Just looked him up and unfortunately he passed away in 2012. Back then, Papa Joe's had live bands when Led Zeppelin, The Who, BTO, Black Sabbath, Chicago, Yes, and many more ruled. Smoke filled stage, lots of long hair, and Levis jean jackets. It was quite the happening place 50 years ago, and I'm happy it's still going strong today.”
“Great restaurant, the Sunday Brunch selection is so good. I know several people you say the breakfast burrito can't be beat. For dinner I really like their chicken marsala and for lunch I've heard they have a chicken avocado sandwich that's amazing. So many things left to try on the menu!”
“Campo has been a staple in our household since we moved to Mo Valley. Tonight, I wanted to give them a huge shout out for filling my custom order of no oil on my fajitas. It is so nice to know that they will do this for their patrons, and it was so delicious! Thank you from the bottom of my heart!!!”
“Easily the best food I ever had in 20 years or traveling. I visited your wife's birthday. I'll be back every time I'm in Nebraska. If your in Omaha check this place out.”
“Pizza was very good! Small town Neighborhood bar. Very clean and upkept. There is a smoking tent in the back with a heater. This is right on Pansy path, As call it, everyone else calls it old Lincoln highway. In crescent iowa.”
“I felt like I was back home in Atlanta at one of our chicken spots. The line was long for carry out and drive through. Chicken was delicious. The best I have had from a restaurant in years. And please people, try the apple turnover. It is buttery, flaky, and just the perfect amount of filling. I'd go back just for the turnover alone. The employees were smiling and friendly. Just a nice hometown feel. I left off a star because the seating was taped off with caution tape, so we just ate in our car. Nevertheless, please don't hesitate to visit this restaurant. You will make it a new fixture in your life.”
“I haven’t tried their food yet, but I definitely will at some point. I went during a Sunday night and got to meet tons of good people and listened to live music the whole night. 15/10! Loved the whole performance! Loved the dancing! Loved the overall vibe! Definitely going again!Parking: There’s a parking lot right next to the place and one right across the street from it”
“What a friendly staff! Watched a young lady named Annie on her break eating next to us, she noticed the ranch dressing bottles were empty. She left her food, went to the kitchen and brought dressing out for the people in line. Not playing on her phone but paying attention to the customers. Good job Annie??? An employee staff that cares.”
“Amazing choice of delicious Mexican pastries! Very professional and the employees are very generous! Highly recommend this place if you're passing through Missouri Valley!”
“I lived in Omaha my entire life and not once have I ate at this restaurant....I've been missing out. The food is wonderful... chef's kiss!!! I will eat at Dragon 88 from now on!!!! Service with a smile, friendly and kind. Presentation of the food is a chef's kiss! I love this place!!!!”
“A little slow, and although we were the only ones in the store they didn't call out orders loudly (or at all) so we just had to watch the counter to see when our drinks were ready (there were 8 in our party).Wheelchair accessibility: + Wheelchair ramp & low-threshold entry- outdoor tables and chairs positioned between the ramp and the door had to be moved to get by”
“Bartenders get a little to drunk I have liver problems so I don't drink alcohol 1 of them got drunk and gave me alcohol I could get kicked off the transplant list over that and they don't sale food”
“Used to live in rural Honey Creek in the early 1970's. It had been around for a while back then too. Looks exactly the same as it did 50+ years ago. After detasseling corn, hoeing beans, or stacking hay, we'd ride our bikes there, hang out, listen to the same awful jukebox music, and buy a coke (this was even before we had fake ID's, otherwise it would have been beers). My brother and I would go there with a kid who lived down the road on the Old Lincoln HWY. He was shot and killed years later in a motorcycle gang fight in Phoenix. To say things have changed for the better in my life would be a serious understatement. I've seen the world many times over and to think it all started with the Areoplane Inn, wow! Dream big kids...”
