Atmosphere hasn't changed in 40 years. Nice to know some things don't change.

My Great Uncle Dave's place. It has one pool table, half a bathroom, and an old school jukebox with Portishead on it. Kurt Vonnegut loved it, and for a long time it was the Writer's Workshop designated hangout. One of the oldest gay-owned businesses in a town with deep LGBT roots

Very fun small bar atmosphere. Bartender was excellent

The iconic and hopefully world renowned Fox Head Tavern. Sit down and have a drink. Start your evening, end your evening, stop in because John's Grocery is closed.

It's called the writer's bar. You can play pool and listen to music of your choice when you slip in some coins

Would love to give a good review. Disappointed in the service and professionalism. The regulars are belligerent and unsettling. Would not recommend the drinks to friends.

This is called the fox head. Where Google got the name Dave nobody knows. Lol. Kind of funny. Traditional depression era bar. So called hole in the wall. Nice pool table nice jukabox. Red box car joint with four step stoop. Meant for locals on the way home and the occasional late night gloryhound.

While masked as a dive bar, the vibe is more hipster-ish.

Had a good experience. Wasn't too bad at all. The people seemed nice and opinionated and it just seems like a small bar right outside of the ped mall area to just get away from all of the downtown stuff. Kind of seems and feels like it's a "last call for alcohol" bar.

I love me a good dive bar. This one just isn't *as* good as others in the area, IMO. (But don't get me wrong, I plan to keep coming back!) The low-down... Never, ever open on Sunday. Prices are as expected. Oozes character. Tons of booths, all etched by years of patrons. Pool table. Not crowded like so many other IC watering holes. Full bar, about four beers on tap. Never loud, a good spot to catch up. Jukebox music. Friendly staff. Oldest bar in IC. (Circa the 1930s) SUPPOSEDLY, Kurt Vonnegut had drinks here. Rad. Dave's Fox Head Tavern is a must-see. Grab your flannel and your Chucks-- go get a pint of Pabst.... like now.

Very good charming bar, cute and friendly bartenders, and fun old pool table.

Great little place to hide away from the crowded downtown scene. Check out the old school jukebox!
