I stopped at the 811 S 1st Ave, Iowa City location. The ice cream was excellent and the young lady that served me was very courteous & friendly. This lady needs a pat on the back (and bonus) from the boss. She was busy cleaning the windows, tending to the machines. sweeping the floors (3/1/24), when not helping customers. Heyn's is our go-to ice cream in the area. The staff is always so friendly and willing to offer suggestions and fun creations. We love finding out what new seasonal flavors are available and sampling things we've never gotten around to buying a full cup of. Get ice cream at Heyn's always feels a little like coming home, and the flavors never disappoint!

Great ice cream spot. We came in just before closing time after an Iowa game but staff was super fun and still took care of us. Prices were very reasonable for the amount of ice cream u get. Lots of fun and can't wait to go back next time we can get game tickets!
