Excellent customer service-waitress was very attentive. Enjoyable experience overall. Only gave 4 stars for food because of limited vegetarian options (it is a steak house)

Was taken out to dinner to celebrate graduating graduate school, so I don't know how much the bill was, but I absolutely loved the Rib Eye steak. They did it rare just the way I like it on the first try. Bison meatball app was killer, totally a vibe. Also, both their Manhattan and Old Fashioned were well made drinks that paired well with the rustic food. I chose Mac and cheese for my side and liked it, but ended up taking most of it home in a box. Other guest with me ordered salmon and said it was perfectly cooked so I included pictures as well.Definitely recommend for a date or a celebration of some kind, even if you're going alone I imagine the vibe could work well.

Seated close to reservation time. Server was busy but attentive. Food was very good. My sirloin and my wife's t-bone was spot on. Great flavor. Mac & Cheese was killer as were the sauteed mushrooms. The only questionable thing was played weren't served with our shared appetizer. Not a deal breaker.Definitely will be back.bworth the drive from the Quad Cities.Parking: Street parking only. Sucked.

The food was truly exceptional, but Brandon truly stole the show. His friendly and helpful demeanor enhanced the entire dining experience. I'll certainly be returning on my next visit to Iowa City, eager for both the delicious food and Brandon's delightful presence.

Worse steaks we’ve ever had and cost $130 with the tip for 2 meals! Even the potatoes were awful (undercooked/hard) Seriously overpriced and this is not a steak house avoid at all

Welcoming environment with great chops and beverage selection. An anchor of the downtown Iowa City dining options.

It was a quiet night and I got very good personal service. The food/meat was delish - that's why I go there.

My husband and I ate here last evening. Our entrees were cooked to perfection. The only complaints I have were that our Frickles were cold when delivered to our table and our waitress did not check on our drinks during the meal! Other than that everthing was delicious.

My first time at the Chop House ….The ribeye steak was grilled and seasoned so well!We had The beef Wellington appetizer and crème brûlée for dessert .Everything was very delicious! The waiter was great also and seemed to be good at ‘reading the table’ on what we needed and checking in on us just the right amount, not too much or barely showing up.Great experience overall!

We had a reservation, (onine reservaion was super easy, and they were busy when we were there so i would reccomend a reservation) we got there a few minutes early and got seated right away. Our server Mikey was great and informative when we had a few questions about the menu. They brought my husband the wrong dinner, we actually didn't notice because he never ordered that dish anywhere before. They very quickly brought him out the correct dish and apologized. Food and the drinks were great! We'll be back for sure.Parking: Downtown iowa city. There wasn't anything available on those 2 blocks of Washington Ave. We parked in the old capital mall parking garage ($1 per hour) and walked over. About a 6 minute walk from there.
