I work downtown and stopped into Mammitas for a coffee. The atmosphere is so cozy and inviting. The staff is very welcoming and knowledgeable about their products. Upon their recommendation, I ordered a Horchata and it was the best drink I've ever had! I didn't get food this trip, but I've had it before and it is excellent. I highly recommend this amazing local spot!

Mammitas is my absolute favorite coffee shop in Iowa City! The owner Jacqueline is the sweetest and welcomes everyone that walks through the door. I come in daily for the coffee and the chats with the staff! Mammitas is the best in town!
Mammitas is a hidden gem in the world of family-owned coffee shops. From the delicious, authentic food to the perfectly brewed coffee, every aspect of this place screams excellence. The customer service is top-notch, making you feel like part of the family, and the cozy atmosphere is just like being at home. I can't recommend Mammitas enough for anyone looking for a memorable and heartwarming coffee shop experience. I can’t wait to come back to Iowa and visit!
Winter time calls for weekend coffee shop exploring. My husband surprised me with a stop at Mammitas when having to run some boring errands in IC. I was disappointed to not see delicious pastry options I've seen pictured but I will chalk that up to us swing by right before closing. This spot is small with only a few table but we managed to grab the last one available as we waited for our drinks to be whipped up. My son was excited because he got a hot cocoa and I enjoyed the horchata matcha latte. It was a bit on the sweeter side but checked on the boxes to pick me up on a cold day of mundane errands. If you need a little joy or pick me up Mammitas can do the trick!

The vibe is cozy and adorable and the owner is so sweet, answered all of my questions kindly and showed me the most popular options when I wasn’t familiar with some things.I had an iced horchata and it was truly amazing and my niece had a smoothie and the breakfast sandwich that she said was the best she’s had in Iowa in two weeks here!Don’t miss this sweet local spot!!Dietary restrictions: Dairy-free milk options!

Wow. In town for work. I was driving around looking for a Starbucks or something similar so I could send some emails and grab a coffee and a snack. I happened across a small cute local coffee spot, so I tried it. What a fantastic local coffee shop. The food is incredible. The Cuban sandwich is killer.The owner Jackie was a delight. I’ll definitely be back when I come back through Iowa City.

This is a fantastic coffee shop that also serves food. Their Horchata lattes are amazing. Coffee comes out piping hot and is reasonably priced. Tried their choco flan for the first time today and it was incredible, better than what Ive had in south Texas. There’s usually street parking available close by, otherwise it’s right across the street from a parking ramp.

Highly recommend. Family owned and run establishment with mom, daughter, son in law. Stopped in during parents weekend with 3 of us. Ordered a drink for each, and also ordered a Cuban and a breakfast sandwich. My goodness, big sandwiches, great drinks, and the proprietors are fantastic. Super friendly, chatted with all customers, and checked on everyone who was there. Just can't say enough... great experience.

Delicious breakfast in downtown Iowa city! I had the Horchata latte and deluxe breakfast sandwich, both of which tasted great. My friend had an iced dulce de Leche coffee. The owner was the one who helped us out, and she was very friendly while helping us order since it was our first time eating there. Would definitely go back!
