We had a birthday party there over the weekend. The website says the room can hold up to 24 people. They confirmed we could have more. The website states you can chose pizza catering or buffet. It was our understanding that included pizza for adults and we could just order the pizza for the entire room. We spoken with 3 people over the course of a month and was never told the adults had to pay for their own buffet. The birthday party only had 10 kids but had 16 adults. If we were going to pay for everyone, the total was over $500. The buffet was mediocre, at best. There wasn't a lot of selection and most of it was cold. Definitely not worth $16.99 per person. I also picked up 3 plates in a row that were all dirty on the bottom. The only positive is the staff was very friendly. Even though they only came to our room once, early on, to get dishes from the adults that had to pay for the buffet.

About 430 pm 02/24/2024. My daughter-in-law spent $62 treating us to buffet. Here is the thing, only about 1% of the food was ever at the buffet, yet they still kept taking customers' money. Another thing, they ran out of clean dishes, so they finally started gathering dishes (short staffed, yes!), but they didn't wipe the tables. Short staff, no food, many customers: big profits! The food was okay, but only one or two pizzas, remnants of fruit pizza, though the chicken was adequately stocked. The place should have stopped accepting customers, as the place was virtually without food, clean tables, or plates.

I will start with the food was good and hot. The selection was minimal. The atmosphere was aweful. Loud. Kids running everywhere. I have been in many locations and this by far was the worst experience. We ate quickly and left. We will definitely not return to this location. I was hoping to find a way to vent other than publicly but there were no comment cards or other way I could find to voice my experience.

We visited around 1 p.m. on Sunday and the salad bar was in need of attention, pizza on the bar was just average, so we had a pizza baked for our table and it was pretty good. The young men clearing tables were excellent and extremely helpful clearing plates. Soda machine was out of diet coke, we notified the staff when we got there but was never corrected. Fried chicken was excellent.

We used Pizza Ranch Caterering at the recommendation of our funeral director in Iowa City, for my moms luncheon after the church service.
Our church is approx 5 min away from pizza ranch, and the caterering crew was 30 minutes late.
I was complete embarrassed by their lack of respect for our event to be on time...
