I guess my review is based on how it was when I lived in that area compared to what it is now. A little unfair perhaps. I gave it three stars because they have Edgewood locker meat. I love that stuff. Didn't they have sandwiches at one time? The cashier couldn't crack a smile if she had to. I felt like I was imposing on her.

You can have years experience... and they won't give you the time of day to even sit down for an interview. My boyfriend has applied multiple times, and they've rejected him every single time. They don't even give him the chance to have an interview. With as often as they're hiring you'd think they'd give him a chance. He's got over 5+ years experience. With as often as they're hiring, and how they won't even give you a chance for an interview tells me all I need to know about what it'd be like working there. It's sad honestly.

I didn’t take at tour I just shopped for ice cream, fudge and cheese curds.The Ice cream: so I’m a 5’9” adult male on the slim side and I got two “calf” scoops one vanilla and one chocolate ice cream. And it’s enough. Omg the chocolate ice cream!!! It’s so rich. It’s amazing, the vanilla ice cream is light in its vanilla flavor very pleasant, but the chocolate takes the cake I’m really impressed by how chocolaty it actually is!!! You know what the vanilla ice cream flavor reminds me of ? Frosted Circus animal cookies.Cheese curds where great. I’m from the neck of the woods in Iowa where we have Hansen’s dairy cheese curds. These curds where comparableAgain my neck of the woods has a scheels with fudge this kalona creamery fudge was comparable. I just got the plain fudge and it was delectable ????

Discovered this gem in 1990 when living and working in Eastern Iowa. Always make an effort to stop and buy some cheese curds and some of the many other items they offer.

Large selection of cheese, most of them are good. However I don’t recommend chocolate cheese, I don’t think it’s even cheese, the first ingredient is sugar. Ice cream is yummy. The chocolate cow topper is super cute.

It has gone really downhill since it has been bought out and is basically a tourist trap with souvenir stuff rather than real special things. It smells horrible and is under construction. Apparently they still make cheese curds here but nothing much else. They had a few Creamery things for sale but we're short on many items including ice cream.

some of the best ice cream i've had, and at a great price too!they basically pack almost a pint of ice cream into a 5.99 two scoop cup, and you can really taste the quality of their ingredients. my personal favorite was the kalona crunch, which is their classic vanilla ice cream with gorgeous, nutty chunks of pecan butter crunch throughout. it's absolutely heavenly. kalona dairy has a beautifully rich flavor that comes through beautifully in the ice cream!i will say the chilly 63 degree thermostat was a little crazy, but it was a nice break from the hot weather outside.if you're in the iowa city area, please do yourself a favor and come by for some ice cream, yogurt, and cheese curds.
