My BFF & I were traveling and passed through Kalona on 3/1/24. There aren't too many options, and foolishly we thought "Hey, Subway!" We both got decently made (so we thought) footlongs and proceeded to eat in the otherwise empty dining room. I have to say, the customer service was pretty good, until the person "in the back" came up front to assist. She looked upset to have to do anything front facing with customers. We didn't let it bother us though. We ate, and went on our way, saving half of our sandwiches for snacking later on that night, and proceeded on to our escapades at the casino down the road. Promptly 8 hours (almost to the minute) later, we were wracked with stomach cramps, and let's keep it rated G here, explosive expulsion of our lunch. One sandwich ruined our entire weekend. We were literally bound to our hotel room - taking turns in the bathroom - for the next 12 hours. So let's recap, shall we? 1) Customer service - Fine, but could be improved upon 2) Food - great, at first. Not so great later on 0/10 * Will never return to this location and will think long and hard about going to ANY Subway ever again.

As i walked out and my bag ripped the employee said “oh well” also they never changed their gloves and someone in my house is allergic to something someone else got. it’s a good thing that the person who got the item made their sandwich last. LEARN TO CHANGE GLOVES!

Everytime I go in I get my sandwiches toasted and they are barley toasted making the bread taste stale...will not be going there again and will be calling the manager on the two young workers that constantly mess up my sandwiches...ones Hugo don't know the name of the blonde kid with the acne that's always there

Never stocked up on toppings. I have gone in 3 separate times for a breakfast sandwich and I have been told they are out of eggs. Don’t know if they are really out or just to lazy to go in freezer and get some to warm up.

App leaves much to desire...on top of app issues, my sandwich was not toasted, missing sauce and didn't have the extra avocado I paid extra for. The cold cut combo was for later, but I checked due to the first one being incorrect, it was missing 2 of the 3 meats...! Not a great experience! I would have gone straight back, but ordered too close to closing time. I was the only order up...no excuses, I would be less mad if they were swamped, short staffed or something, but they weren't. Still waiting to hear from corporate.
