“Definitely a dive forsure, but in all the best ways! Walked into the smell of fresh popcorn! Dark, cozy atmosphere, but many cool lights that can be turned on to adjust. Mick was our bartender, waiter and cook all in 1! Very nice gentleman, food was very reasonably priced, prepared quickly and decent size portions... especially the fries! Good quality food, but was pretty much all frozen products, the buns were delicious though! Soon as I walked in I knew I had to get something on a bun after seeing them on the counter ?“

“Excellent Pork Tenderloin fritter! We were passing thru again from Colorado while visiting mom in Iowa. (We've made it a point to try tenderloins all over Iowa through the years.) Not only do they serve a dinner plate size breaded pork t-loin(!), the quality is top-notch-delicious. Batter is light and meat is tender. All the fixins were fresh (tomato/lettuce/onion.) Nice people, friendly service, comfortable atmosphere. Make sure to go there hungry!“

“It’s just your typical Iowa Main Street bar and grill as far as atmosphere, but the food is delicious. Try the battered fish or shrimp-the recipe hasn’t changed in 30+ years and I hear they’re working on being able to sell it in stores this fall. Go try it before you can buy it and you’ll be hooked.“
“Nice bartender. Food was good. Had the broasted chicken with baked potatoe, bread and cottage cheese. For only 8.50. Plus enjoyed a couple games of bowling. Bowling I thought was a deal as well. Only 15 per hour. Would go back again. Percieved a couple of locals not caring much for outta towners but I could be wrong.“

“Great place. We enjoyed a steak and broiled fish supper. Nice waitress and friendly cook.“
