Great eats! Came from out of state and stopped in while staying at Honey Creek Resort. This place has the best tenderloin sandwich I've eaten yet and my husband said his salad was better than his favorite at Red Robin. Loved listening to the locals tell stories about the area and there were raves all around for the ice cream (wish I could have tried it!). The staff was very nice and the food came out quickly for our large group.

Near the lake, we stumbled upon this ice cream place that was a perfect stop on a summer day. The delectable sundae and refreshing shake we indulged in were beyond delightful. If you're a fan of ice cream delights, this place is an absolute must-visit.

Captains Landing is a local favorite, with great food and amazing ice cream!
Food for everyone - it's affordable and terrific. Excellent service and family atmosphere. Dine in or take out. The pizza is fantastic and the ice cream is the best.
This place gets slammed on some days but they still give great service and a consistent product that taste great!

I don't know if it's just the beginning of a new season or just the attitude of the teens working here. First I stood at the counter while all the workers walked away. Then one finally came back after 3 or 4 minutes and asked if I had been helped yet. The food came out fairly quickly but when you have to send back a simple sandwich twice to get the correct components it's frustrating. The sandwich was good and the fries a bit cold. Being it's the only game close, maybe they are just forgetting customer service? It could be that the very young staff just needs some experience. I would have appreciated a manager speaking to me after the 2nd time I had to send food back. I'm not sure who the manager is. They are all teenaged girls, dressed the same. I hung around writing this review and still no manager.

The owners and staff are so friendly and the restaurant was very nice. The ice cream as amazing. Best ice cream I have ever had Food was delicious. We will definitely be back on our next fishing trip to Lake Rathbun. Thank you to the owners for the friendly chat and fishing advice. Take care.

Grew up around the area and when I come back to visit I have to stop here. Captain's Landing is always a summer favorite! Very fast service and super friendly staff. They have indoor/outdoor seating for dine in or if you're in a hurry they have a drive through! To top it all off, their ice cream is AMAZING!

Very very very slow service at the drive up.Ordered and was asked to pull up beside another vehicle who had just ordered while we were waiting. I physically watched 10 other vehicles go through the drive through while I waited. Car next to us got their food no problem they were there before us. While waitinI watched one vehicle pull in and wait for 10 minutes and then leave without ordering.I walked in after waiting for 30 minutes and asked how much longer we had to wait.was asked if I had a name on my order I said no I pulled up and have been waiting for 30 minutes.They all looked at each other like oh what wait oh were sorry were really busy we have lots of orders were putting it in the fryer now. 55 minutes after ordering I finally got my order. The food is good but I will not be doing drive through ever again!! I highly suggest to order ahead and pick it up!
