Our order could have been taken sooner, considering that we came in at the end of the lunch "rush" and our party of two were the only customers there. However, things picked up and the food was at proper temperature and delicious. Nice authentic decor; not a cookie-cutter, stereotypical Mexican place. We'll come back next time we're through Mount Pleasant.Parking: No problem finding a parking spot on the street outside the restaurant.

The food was very bland. Fish taco was a piece of fried fish on a soft shell and queso was plain cheese.

This was pretty good for lunch. No sopa de pollo, so I opted for the chicken salad. The salad was good, but it was basically a bed of yellow corn chips topped with lettuce, some tomato, and a generous layer of some chicken bits that had been heated. The dressing was ranch. I skipped the ranch, and topped it with a squeeze of lime and some salsa. Much better choice. My lunch partner got the chicken enchiladas, and she described them as the same chicken bits used in my salad wrapped in a flour tortilla. Two of those on a bed of shredded lettuce was the meal. She was surprised that the enchiladas were not baked and had no sort of enchilada sauce, just cold tortillas wrapped around chicken bits and put on a plate. She enjoyed it, but it was more like something I would have assembled at home for a quick snack than a restaurant meal. The tables were nice, and they had cloth napkins out at lunch. My coffee came with a cream pitcher (nice) and it was refilled on time. Service was good. Overall the place is a pleasant lunch stop, and the food was fine, it just didn't look or taste like any time was spent assembling it. The salsa was good, seemed homemade, but no cilantro was noticed. The ships were cold, hard corn chips.
