We were seated right away and then waited over 15 minutes for anyone to come back and take our drink order while we watched staff on their phones and/or just standing around. Nobody checked on us throughout the meal to see if we needed anything. The only person actually working was the gentleman behind the bar and it seemed like he was doing everyone’s job for them.

Have to wait 20mins to place an order over the phone because Muscatine location only has a number directly for their manager. Frustrating when you want extra sauce but it’s not an option online. Then after paying for the extra sauce the cooks gave us the small container, bartender noticed and went back to get the correct size and the manager comes out saying the small size is right and tried to charge us again, luckily the bartender told the manager that no she was wrong and gave us the right stuff. Also not sure what’s going on lately but there’s ALWAYS a long wait but doesn’t make sense because they have tons of empty tables. Also pricey meals for it being frozen food

Realized when we got back with food that we had not paid our bill. We called and tried to pay and were told it was their mistake and we would be comped. This was very unexpected, but greatly appreciated. We will most certainly continue to patronize Applebees, which of course we would anyway, because the food and service is always wonderful!

Food is okay and consistent with their brand, just not always my favorite. Wish they would go back the flat chicken tenders. Service was great this visit. Atmosphere is the same that they have had for the last 20 years.

We arrived with 6 adults, 1 child, 6:30 PM The restaurant was less than 1/4 Full, & our group was told that we would have to wait 20-25 minutes to be seated. because they were short of help. We said that we didn't care about immediate food service, we could just sit at a table & order beverages., We would be happy to wait for food orders. but no they wouldn't even let us sit at a table. So we left. Never had an experience like that before. Talk about poor service

Food took for ever to get out, when it did come out my chicken tenders were burnt. The Mac and cheese was not prepared right, ( very watered down cheese)
