Costs have gone up so much. But the owner is nice and most of the staff are nice.Be prepared to pay $7.25 for a small salsa and chips. I was expecting to spend about $15 for one person to eat...but a chimichanga dinner at $10.95, water and small salsa ended up costing just over $20. The chimis were small, hardly had meat in them, and the display wasn't great. The salsa seemed fresh!I think the atmosphere is a bit tired and dated. I know it's hard for restaurants to get enough tables in, keep staff, and so on, but I feel like for the price, I would expect a more elevated experience. The food is always so basic, not very flavor intensive (which is what I'd expect for a cheaper restaurant and I think it'swhat the community prefers).I will add that the rest of my family loves the place. And I empathize with the cost of running a business. I'm sure I will try again sometime!Tried again last night and the service was much improved!

I’m sorry but this place is a sad representation for Mexican food in Iowa. Service was friendly and responsive but the food lacks flavor and HEAT, as in the spicy kind. I’m not from Muscatine so I don’t know if there are other options in town, but if not, I’d suggest filling up your vehicle and taking a drive to the Quad Cities or even Iowa City.

HORRIBLE service. We ordered a bunch of stuff - mostly which came with tortillas. For starters our waitress got our order wrong, bought out 2 beef soups when we ordered 1 pork and 1 beef. Like why would we purposely order the wrong soups?? We know what we want. Furthermore when we asked the waitress to correct our order, she said we ordered 2 large beef soups. like excuse me?? we as the customers know what we ordered. Shameful. On top of that she said we would have to pay extra to get our correct order. Overconfidence ruined the service. Very embarrassing. Secondly they completely forgot our tortillas. When we asked them to bring it over, they clearly asked us to specify which ones to get twice. We wanted corn. They bought out all flour tortillas, that too by the time we nearly finished our meal. And on top of that when we called our waitress to point out the error, she just chuckled?? Like hello where is the apology for your NUMEROUS mistakes?? Making mistakes is acceptable but you need to be responsible and hold yourself accountable for it, if you fail to do so then you should not be working in customer service. The waitresses need better training. The fajitas were also super super bland. The rest of the food was good though especially the shrimp. We usually tip well but didnt this time, unfortunate to have had a terrible experience here. Avoid.

We came into town hoping for a quick Midwest getaway and maybe snow ski? But it was too warm after Christmas. Stayed in town for 36 hours and saw the sites. This was a solid and reasonable place for lunchKid-friendliness: We have two special needs kiddos and they were very accommodatingWheelchair accessibility: Yes! Easy in and out

Portions small for the price. Food was already at best. Probably won't go back. Gave 2 stars cause the young lady that took are order was nice.

Always awesome food. Just a tad on the pricey side but the food is worth it and the amount is perfect.

Love the lunchtime buffet. The fajita chicken and ground beef are excellent along with the salsa and fried rice. I haven’t found anything that I didn’t like here.Would visit here all the time if I lived there.

We have been to this restaurant twice, and we were let down both times. The first time, with a party of 4 it took us an unexpectedly long time for us to get our food, but our server was decent. The most recent time, we had a party of 7 & came a few hours before closing. It took over an hour for our food to come out, even though we were one of 3 tables (one of 2 people & the other of 4), and when it did one of the orders was wrong and one of us didn’t even get our food until the waitress came back to ask how everything was. We didn’t get refills after asking. We were there for 2 hours because of messed up orders and long wait times. The seating is also horrible, their booths are wood, so sitting on that for 2 hours doesn’t add any positivity to the experience.Overall, the customer service & attentiveness definitely could be better. The food was okay, but nothing crazy good - and they make you pay for chips/salsa which is odd. Save yourself the time & headache and either order ahead, or go somewhere else.

Tried Shrimp Fajita for the second time, and no doubt the food was great, not sure was it authentic recipe or not but whatever the food was great. The reason it lost a star for my review because of the 3% charge on paying through card.Rest the location is great and the service was good !Thanks !
