Serving brisket, pulled pork, mac n cheese, cole slaw to die for they even have quixotic dishes like armadillo eggs and daily specials such as bbq reubens as well as many others. The service is Midwest friendly where you order at the counter and delightfully watch them "make your meal". Do yourself a favor and visit this great point value of bbq delight!

I ordered the burnt ends and ribs with mac and cheese and sidewinder fries. Unfortunately, the burnt ends were incredibly dry and tough – more like jerky than tender barbecue. I'm assuming this was a one-off experience since many others rave about them.The ribs were excellent, the highlight of my meal! I also enjoyed my girlfriend's brisket. The mac and cheese was basic, and the fries were quite good.The man serving, possibly the owner, was very friendly and hardworking. He happily answered my questions. The atmosphere is great – a beautiful location in the Commerce Building right by the river.Overall, I had a good time. If I had skipped the burnt ends and focused on the ribs and brisket, this would have been a much better experience. Barbecue is tricky to make consistently, so I understand not everything can be a knock-out every time.Honorable mention: Their tangy sauce was delicious!

Made the drive from the QC for my birthday this past weekend and everything from the food to customer service was top notch! They even threw me a little dessert on the house for my bday! Burnt ends and ribs were excellent and the street corn was amazing! Can't wait to try everything lol! Awesome experience!

Coworker and I eat here every time we are working in Muscatine. Have tried quite a few menu items and not disappointed yet . Sides are really good. Meat has a great smokey flavor, can’t wait to try the new sauces. Sat near the smoker one winter afternoon and on the drive back to the QC was seriously thinking about trying a bite of my jacket!Parking: Free 4 hour parking across the street

Everything is so good and fresh at Skinny's! Yes you have to stand in line while they fix your food, but it's well worth it it!

This place is great BBQ. I normally take it to go. They have a good variety. Their sides are ok but the portions of the sides are not generous so you need to order extra if you are feeding a lot of people.

I dont think this meat is actually smoked. I might just be cooked in an oven. the driest brisket I have ever had. it was dry and hard ended up throwing it away. the coleslaw just wasn't for me. I guess either really didn't like it. I think it had broccoli in it vs. just like a normal coleslaw. the Mac and cheese was mid at most. the armadillo egg was decent as far as the rest of the food it would be a hard pass on everything.
