Driving home from Des Moines and needed a quick meal. Didn't want fast food, sandwich, drive through ? nothing seemed right. Stopped at maid-rite and BINGO... Perfect. Had a chili dog with cheese and onions, and house fries (real potatoes cut up). Great staff, great food! Thanks Maid-Rite ?

Drive up is real slow. Watching thru the drive up window, the making process needs work, one could learn from other faster food places.Maid Rites are a mid western icon. Gotta do maid rite while in Iowa and especially the hometown of Oskaloosa.

Coming to Oskaloosa from Texas we were told to try the Maid Rite sandwich. So we stopped on the way out of town. We shared a sandwich between us. The meat was tender with a nice seasoning. For us it reminds us of a sloppy Joe without the sloppy. LOL

Very disappointed ! Restaurant has very dirty floor and ceiling vents. Table looked clean— were they sanitized?Bathroom filthy. Kitchen floor dirty; nothing else in kitchen sparkling clean. Maid-rite NOT what it was growing up on Iowa in the 1950s.
