“We had to make a late night stop on a road trip and the wendys had closed early. It's a truck stop so I was tempering my expectations but our waitress was so nice and seated us despite the fact they were about to close and the bacon in the BLT was FANTASTIC.”

“This place is AMAZING! Anna and Amanda go out of their way to accommodate for everyone! On short notice I needed to have a get together with over 20 people and when we all showed up they had everything already set up with the tables set and decorations even for the birthday party! Then food was ordered and came out fast! Everyone had something different and everybody loved it and not one complaint!Kid-friendliness: They had a separate room for the kids to run around and not cause any distractions to other guests as well as party decorations set up for the birthday kiddo!”

She made us a strawberry rhubarb pie that we picked up later and was the star of the show (family dinner) we are here twice during our visit and would go back again and again.”

She then decides to spin in circles and let it go right before you capture the creature….THE CUP DIDNT POP OPEN.This five star review is mainly for the fact that the design of these kids cups are superior. “The Lied Lodge is among the best hotels in Nebraska that I've stayed in. The service was friendly and professional. The decor is cozy and comfortable with an arbor day theme which is not surprising given that it's in Nebraska City. The double queen room with vaulted ceiling was clean, the beds were comfortable and the view out back was great. We enjoyed the Olympic pool and hot tub. We didn't eat dinner here but we did have breakfast which was good though the food was lukewarm. Beware that you have kids, the French toast sticks aren't really sticks, instead it's an child size portion of the adult French toast. We also enjoyed the library lounge which has a nice fireplace. Out back you'll find a fire pit and hiking trails one of which leads to Arbor Day Farm which has a small market, wine and cider tastings and a barbecue restaurant. This may become an annual vacation spot for us.”

“Although we arrived at the busy dinner hour we were seated right away and since my 2 year old grandson was with us and made his usual mess of the floor around his Highchair the waitress was super nice and didn't seem to let it bother her that she would have alot of cleaning to do when we left. The only small problem I had was that the bottom of my drink glass was cracked and had started to slowly leak but as soon as I mentioned it to the waitress she immediately exchanged it for a different one that wasn't leaking. So as far as I am concerned I give this restaurant a big 5 stars.Kid-friendliness: They offer alot of options for those with children or grandchildren that are very picky. They also have a large bib, a paper hat and most importantly a wet wipe with each of the highchairs and I believe that I saw that another table had crayons and menus or something like that for the kids to color.”

“My regular roast beef and cheddar ? was ice cold and dripping with the red sauce that comes on it . I went back and was given one with no sauce OR cheese and Luke warm. Don't think I'll be going back for a while because something like this always seems to happen.... “These guys have been doing their best since the pandemic. The food has been consistent even if the service is a bit slow sometimes. They've only gotten my order wrong one time because they left an item out. But, I called back immediately & they were apologetic & had my missing item ready by the time I turned around & went back.”
