Crab tasted like ammonia. Most likely frozen or not fresh. Would expect it to be for $40+ per person. Used to be $27 a person for crab 4 years ago. They keep raising their prices with no change to the restaurant. Worst part is that I ordered a Bucsh Light and it was $5.50!!!!!! Last time I was here a month ago, it was $4.25. The most I've ever paid for a beer at fancier restaurants is $3.75. $5.50 is a flat out ripoff! They definitely need to readjust their prices and food quality before I even THINK about returning. Service was pretty good though.

We came here for a buffet tonight and especially for their special Friday night's long crab legs buffet. I don't know if the person who prepared the long crab legs fought with their spouse the day before or if the person just purposely trying to make the long crab legs SUPER salty. When I say SUPER salty, I mean it. That level of saltiness can easily give someone a few extra pounds of kidney stones, seriously it's way beyond what a normal human being can handle. We had just a few of their long crab legs, our mouths turned completely dried and we felt like our tongue almost fell off from our mouth. It's horrible. If they intended to limit their customers from having the long crab legs, why not just increase their prices instead of telling their chef to add pounds of salt to the crab legs?? I mean what they currently are charging, ($37.99 per person) is already high enough, especially when their crab legs are super salty and a normal human being can only handle just a few of them. Come on, just increase your price, don't purposely make the crab legs that salty. You are killing your customers and they will never return. For the sake of your customer's health, please stop doing that. Thank you, we probably need to drink tons of water tonight and will be staying up all night. Thanks to your salty crab legs.

Most of the food was way over cooked and dry.the baked potatoes were half cooked.and dry.the only good part was our server tahra she did an awesome job. I'm not happy a waste of 43.00 dollars.

We love staying at this hotel and eating their buffet but on Valentines Day it was the worst food and selections we've ever seen. 37+ dollars a person. Can't say we'll ever be back for the buffet :( Staff was amazing though.

Wife and I went to buffet on Valentines Day. Advertised Surf and Turf for $37.99. Arrived and was told there was no lobster. The steak was tough and cold. Bake potato,prime rib,and Ham were all cold. Asked cook before I ordered ham if it was hot. She said it was then I explained the prime rib was cold. She said that can't be true.Only Seafood that was abailable was some sort of basted shrimp.This was absoultely the worst ecperiance I have ever had at Roberts. Usally over priced with so so food.Went out into the casino and spoke to several people who tried the Buffet and had the same ecperiance.
Staff are great only complaint I have is it seems someone has changed the crab legs they are now over cooked and small and not as fresh as they used to be not sure if they changed the chiefs but the food is suffering now the pizza was undercooked on every visit in the past three times if they got rid of the chief they desperately need him back ! I'm coming in Saturday to see if the sat crab is better then the fri crab legs and see if the pizza will actually be cooked it's an expensive meal at 43 dollars I want the crab legs fresh and not over cooked or super dry please fix this as I've been patent and said nothing and I want to eat hear so please fix this .

We have never been disappointed at Robert's Buffet in Riverside Iowa ( Riverside Casino and Golf Resort). Their " All you can eat crab legs" are always steamed to perfection. All other foods and desserts on the buffet would even make Gordon Ramsey smile at their quality and presentation. We have eaten breakfast, lunch, and supper there...all meals are superbly prepared. The host and hostesses are so pleasant when serving you. Most employees have been there 10-20 years. The atmosphere of the dining hall is very comforting.

For a buffet this one isn't bad. As with any buffet some of the food could be fresher (especially close to closing) but the employees are always really good about getting you what pieces, etc you want. They're also open most holidays unlike a lot of other places. A little pricey but they have deals fairly often, especially if you have a members card to the casino. I would come hungry (because it's a buffet) and if you are unlucky enough to have to wait until almost closing to get dinner like I did this time, then they do tend to be more lenient with portion sizes. Of course all of this food wasn't just for me though ?.
