“Fine dining in a small Iowa Casino. Very impressed with everything except the front desk person. She was brusk and her "What can I do for you?" sounded as if she wanted to say "Why are you in here at all?" After being seated things improved greatly. Our server was very attentive without being pesty and was very friendly. Our meals, filet with asparagus were superb. The asparagus was particularly great, crisp without being woody. Before dinner we had Negronis which were delicious. The wine list is small but adequate. I as usual brought my own, a wonderful Corliss Cabernet. During our meal the manager stopped by our table to ask if all was well. He was very congenial. The atmosphere was wonderful. Individual booths arranged such that it appeared as if each table was in its own special area. The background music was soft and enjoyable. I would recommend this restaurant anytime you are in the area. Very unhurried and relaxing.“
