“Our party of four stopped in for lunch. The Cafe is easy to get to. We arrived at a busy time around noon but got seated fairly quickly. I ordered a cheeseburger and fries. Other items in our party were soup and salad, chicken sandwich and a breakfast order of pancakes, hash browns, bacon and omelette. My burger and fries were pretty good. I tried the tortilla soup also. It was spiced nicely. The small salad was good too. Our server Mariana was very very good.“
“We had not eaten there in years. Usually we eat further North in the Lakes region. We were in Spencer and decided we would give it a try. The decor was kind of a throw back to the old fine dining supper club atmosphere. Comfortable, nice soft background music and easy to carry on a conversation with our table companions. Jamie our server made us feel like we were the most important people in the room. Food was cooked properly, served at temp, well seasoned, very happy. It was such a pleasant experience we will be back. The price was very reasonable too.“
“In town visiting my son for his first big boy job a long way from home (Texas/Alabama). Julia took care of me with the best recommendations. When home I have my go tos but when traveling I always do the signatures. The Weaser Pleaser did not disappoint. If you make to Spencer, you have to go to Weasy’s!!“
“The Sports Page is always a solid choice for a place to eat. I've been going there for years. The food is really good! Sometimes it super busy and service (expectedly) suffers a little. Lately I've noticed the quantities of food have been going down. An order of cheeseballs is now just a handful, 6-8 (smallish) waffle fries with a burger, etc.Saturday night's experience was not the best. Although not busy, it took longer than expected to get waited on. Drinks and food came fast, but then so did the check. We felt like we were being pushed out as the waitress came by multiple time wanting our payment. We were thinking about dessert, maybe another drink but decided to go somewhere else more relaxed for that.“
“Black Earth Java deserves 25 out of five stars. This place is great and the service is outstanding. I go here so frequently that the employees know my order the second that I pull up to the window. The drinks are amazing and the coffee beans are delightful. I cannot explain how much I love this place. I do wish there was more than just a drive-thru though“
