Asked the waitress what the chefs favorite meal was and I was told they don't eat their own food. I got the Chicken Tikka Masala with a 4 in 1-5 spicy as I wanted it to be a little bit spicy. I only drank around 1 glass of water, similar to other meals so not really spicy, especially for Indian style food. Plenty of rice, which was cooked well, but only a little bit of chicken. Really over priced for what you get. If the meal was around half of the price, I would give it 5 stars, but $17 for what they offer is only worth 3 stars.Good service, it was the best part of the time there. But, there was no reason not to be good, as in an hour I was there they had less than 10 customers on a Saturday night.Would not recommend as it was just so overpriced for what you get.

One of my most favorite places; my happy place.Small family owned and ran; very nice people. The food is always fresh, hot and deliceous. I have had everything on the menu and you can't go wrong. Reason we go few times a month (doesn't hurt they ate just arround the corner from our house either lol)
I cannot get enough of India Tadka. It's my favorite lunch spot in the area, hands down. I come here when I want flavorful, deliciously prepared homemade food and a quiet spot to enjoy it.I have never had rice that's prepared more perfectly than the long-grained basmati served here. Everything I order is vegetarian, and there is an endless variety of options. I've never had anything I did not 110% fall in love with. The food is not oily or greasy, like some Indian restaurants in the area. The tofu melts in your mouth, the paneer has the perfect texture, and every single dish is full of flavor. The chai tea is made per order and is quite delicious. Don't forget to get a side of homemade tamarind chutney. It's far better than the stuff you make from the concentrate purchased in Asian grocery stores! The charming woman who cooks all the food (yes, one person is responsible for all the cooking!) is kind and extremely attentive. It's truly like eating in your Indian grandmother's house. You feel cared for and un- rushed. We are so very lucky to have a family-owned, authentic place like this located in a strip mall in the western suburbs. I will be back again and again.

This is one of my favorite restaurants. I've tried several different menu items, they were all delicious. I usually get take-out, but I've dined in also, and the service was very good.
Amazing food. The best Indian food place in Iowa at this point.

Excellent food and the best service I've seen in Iowa! We've been searching for a good Indian restaurant and tried this after a recommendation in Axios. Did not disappoint! We had the Mango Lassi, Vegetable Momo's, Paneer Lababdar, and Molai Kofta. Everything was tasty and reminded me of why I love eating at Indian restaurants. The service was great, the best I've seen in my year living in Iowa. Attentive, friendly servers, really warm all around. Not cheap, but nothing is. My whole family is excited for the next time we go back.Vegetarian options: If you're a vegetarian living in Iowa, eating out can be a challenging experience. Not here. A lot of variety with both healthy options and full-on artery-cloggers.
This was my first time trying this kind of cuisine. I wished the waitress would have gave some more suggestions regarding what we should try. We got the butter chicken and the peanut butter chicken. I would not suggest the peanut butter chicken as it was basically chicken and peanuts in melted peanut butter. We heard the microwave being used quite a few times so I'm not sure how fresh our food was. I also ordered the garlic naan and it was nothing special. Our bill before tip was $48 and I feel that was a little steep for a lunch.

Perfectly prepared Shrimp - tender and juicy and not overdone - in the korma. Tender, sweet, flavor-packed Gulab jamin - a perfect dessert. This is not rich but more satisfying than a rich sweet. The savory and spicy samosas with a dipping sauce that is divine are amazing. Paneer tikka masala that is creamy and punches every good taste button in the mouth. The naan is great. Of note is how the rice is fragrant and fluffy, perfectly cooked and not sticky or gluey as in many takeout situations. I love that this is family owned. Beats most of the Indian food in the nation’s capital.

My first time having Thai food - what an experience! Our server was also our cook, he popped out and gave amazing suggestions - we had their chai tea (incredible) and we tried every naan bread they had! I tried the butter chicken and personally ordered the goat curry. I would recommend a thousand times over! He answered all of our questions, was extremely helpful & was more than courtesy when I asked the correct way to eat the food!!

We've been going here for years. I've eaten Indian food in 50 countries, including India, and nothing compares to their offerings. This is the place.
