Great service and great food. 10/10. The server was great. They gave our group of 7, two appetizers on the house. Food was brought out tasting great and fast.

If i could rate this under 1 star I would. A place that advertising as a steak house but really it is a bar and grill with only one steak on the menu that is so overwhelming priced. Service was nice but the food says other wise. My Mahi Mahi was stone cold in the center and the mashed potatoes looked like wallpaper paste and was very flavorless. The sweet corn was cold like out of the fridge cold. My guest meal was not any better with fries that tasted like they where under a hot lamp for hours and over cooked shrimp and scallops that tasted dated. Not to mentioned we waited almost a hour to receive our meal with the place dead as a door nail. I won't be coming back

We decided to try lunch today. It was amazing. Mushroom Swiss Burger with upgraded side of onion rings, Philly Wrap with green beans and a ?. Best burger I've had in Waukon! Charbroiled, juicy, perfectly cooked on a fresh bun!

We attended my sister and her husband's 50th Wedding Anniversary celebration at AJ Steakhouse recently and it was Perfect...The staff (waitresses, waiter and bartender ) provided excellent service.. Compliments to the chief...There were 30+ in attendance and we all ordered off the menu. Food was served in a timely manner and was Delicious !!! The next time we are in the area we definitely will want to visit this establishment again.....

The visit I had here was less than ideal. We were seated immediately which was nice. We were giving small plates when we were seated and shortly after that we got out waters. My water glass stayed empty for quite a while and then I had to ask for a refill. After 15-20 minutes to being seated we asked what the small plates were for and then they served us the bread. We asked for silverware and the response was let me go find some. It took a while until we got the utensils and glad, they could find some. When asking questions to the server the typical response was "I don't know". A cup of soup was ordered and when it came out I said oh wow thats a cup of soup? and the response was "I dont know" I stopped her and said seriously. Have you ever served a cup of soup or a bowl? The French onion soup had a carrot in it and no cheese melted on top. My friend said it was gross and only had one spoon of it. We then explained how we felt about the soup and the server started to cry. She stood crying at the bar and another server took over. We asked for to - go containers (2) and she came back with one so I had to ask again for another one. Things like this just kept happening.

I've never written a review like this before... absolutely horrendous, service was terribly understaffed, didn't take our drink order until we were ready to order our food. Brought bread out before anything INCLUDING SILVERWARE! We ended up spreading out butter with our fingers!! Everything was sub-par at best in terms of quality (prices outrageously high for what you get) my wife ordered medium rare on a $45 steak and it was burnt to a crisp, even after sending it back it came back medium-well (I'm being generous) to top it off. This is a STEAK house right?!?... come time to pay the bill (over $150 for our party) THEIR CARD MACHINE "STOPPED" WORKING!!!!!!! Gordan Ramsay needs to start production of Kitchen Nightmares again solely to help these guys out. At least the bathroom was clean. I'll be surprised if they make it longer than 6 months.
