The whole place is very inviting and friendly. Although it is apparent they are short handed, the two wait staff members who were there did a fantastic job trying to keep up with the busy lunch crowd. The food was hot and plentiful, but a true Iowa staple of blandness with a little salty. It'll stick to your ribs, but it really doesn't excite the taste buds.
I'm still munching on the chicken nachos. They are quite tasty, and the chicken is particularly good. I ordered the half-size, which was just as well. I had to take some home, there was so much. The chips had a good flavor and texture. The server, Sally, was very efficient. She apologized for the wait between seating me and taking my order, as the restaurant was pretty crowded and there were only three servers. Our waitress was great. Everyone liked the food. My only problem was the host. He ran around like a maniac. Literally running, he would slam plates down on tables and run away to his next task. It made the atmosphere tense for customers and staff.Parking: You can park in the back and use the back entrance.
