“Only open 6:30-2:30, The Serving Cafe has recently moved into a spacious and nicely appointed location across from the park and still on Main Street Lots of parking and no steps assures easy access . The local families that staff the dining room are friendly and very efficient I visited at 9:30 on a Friday morning and the room was bustling but the staff coped with the crowd sweetly! Since it was breakfast time (I'm not a farmer and do not get up with the chickens) I ordered my favorite: sausage gravy over buttermilk biscuits The order was ample and delicious! I really appreciated the gravy not being over-seasoned so I could salt or pepper to suit my taste This new jewel on Main Street really complements the attractive shops and the National Hoover birthplace and museum“

“There are 2 kinds of people. Those who like Frida Kahlo. And those who like El Sol (the 2 Mexican joints in town). It's hit and miss at both. I've had great meals and I've had bad meals. One thing I can say for sure is that when you ask someone who they prefer, they have their opinion of which is the best choice. For me...I never give a bad review of a nacho chip.“

“The elotes with crema here is so fire. they put corn with tajin and the beautiful cojita cheese with the cream. and it comes in a big cup to share or eat by yourself. i literally think about it all the time. the tres leches cake is also pretty good.“
