The people who work at Hy-Vee are generally very helpful. The only complaint is the pharmacy drive-thru gets extremely congested. I almost saw a fight there the other day when an unsuspecting senior pulled in the line and it was ahead of the man who had been waiting for quite awhile..he started honking then it got more aggressive until he got out of his car and started to yell at the person... it really was a scary situation... the drive-thru does need to be reconfigured as it generally has a long line. The store usually have what you need but I recommend making sure to watch when items are on sale that they ring up properly because sometimes that doesn't happen.

We usually really like their food but today was disappointing. Only reason I'm posting here is bc we already address it with our server and she basically acted as if they couldnt do anything about it. Fries were chewy, not fresh. Wontons were over cooked. We ask to have them recooked. They came back the same way and acted like they would be raw if it were cooked any other way. Would love to post pics but I don't see an option

We visited from Mississippi. The food was great but the service even better. We met a kindred soul when we met our server Gabriella. She is the absolute sweetest and most thoughtful person ever. Appreciated her so much that we came back for a second visit and brought my sister along with my husband and I. You can get good food at a lot of places but exceptional service is hard to find. Thanks again Gabriella and Hy-Vee Market grill for hiring her. I would also like to add that we went to the grocery department and all the employees we walked past greeted us warmly. If I am ever in Des Moines again, I will frequent your establishment.

HyVee has self checkout but they were to cheap to buy the scan guns that 90% of all grocery stores that have self checkout use. They expect customers to flip over cases of cola to try and scan a bar code and the funny thing is they say theft is up and I guarantee this is because people simply could not scan the items efficiently. There is a reason Walmart, Kroger and others use price scan guns but once again HyVee is behind everyone else.

Went out for HyChi and ordered some egg drop soup, and this is what we got. My wife and toddler ate a bit before we noticed. I brought it to the attention of a shift manager and he was very apologetic and swiftly took care of the issue, but keep an eye on your food.

Love this place, they do not waste food, they use rhem in the restaurant the have, or make their own salads, etc... the service in Sioux Falls are great. Here the cashier was not in a good mood.But, everything else was great. The waiter at the restaurant qas very nice

I usually have a good experience at Hy-Vee breakfast, but this was just abysmal. Toast was burnt, ordered over medium eggs got over hard, and the potatoes were just a soggy mess. Only saving grace was the pancakes and sausage.
The absolute worst service of any restaurant ever! And if they feel lazy they send you out front to order. People have tried to apply, qualified people (that know what a screwdriver is!!!!) but they won't hire past employees with good records. (Because of personal issues) They do however have a great program for hiring felons for rehabilitation.

Great place! Suzy or LaTressa offer excellent service, and there is no mask-shaming (for or against). For breakfast, one can spend $4-8 for a handful of excellent choices. (Apple-pie filled pancakes anyone?! Or sweet cream waffles!)
