Went to watch the Iowa State women's basketball game on 3/22. Informed the hostess we were there to watch the game. After we ordered drinks and food our waiter informed us they were unable to change any of the tv's.

We're in town for the reptile expo and decided to stop in. The waitress was super sweet and nice(I hate I didn't get her name.) The restaurant is very spacious with tv's everywhere. However, the food wasn't good. Although, the turkey was delicious; the brisket was dry and I could taste vinegar and lighter fluid on parts of it. Maybe it was just a bad day, idk! But if I'm in town again I might give this place a second chance before I count it out completely.

This is a joke. 40 people standing in line for carry out orders with an empty restaurant. You’d think they could figure out a way to have people come inside and pay at the bar to speed things up. Finally got in and they screwed up the order.

This place is the same each time you go there. It is neither terrible or delicious. It is fine. When we arrived 5 servers/hosts were back where they congregate and couldn't be bothered to greet or seat us until they finished talking. As I said they saw us arrive and stared at us but no movement towards us... My partner tried to order a salad that is on the menu at one of the other Jethros and they have made for him before at this location. But this day they said no per the manager. Let me also say that they have all the ingredients too. Seems very silly plus the place was only 1/3 full so it wasn't because it was too busy. It seems to be more of an act of defiance or to show dominance. I had the State Fair lemonade and it sure didn't taste like it usually does but not so different that I needed to say anything. My salad was ok but the salmon wasn't cooked the way I requested. Again didn't complain as we were on a schedule. All in all it was exactly what I expected so they didn't deviate too far from mediocre.

Skip this place. Jethros used to be one of my favorite places. I suggest you stick to bbq Jethro. Gumbo gelatinous goo that's was cold appeared to be from a can or maybe in the fridge a few to many days. Pork tenderloin not cooked and doughy in the middle. I appreciate the giant size, but it doesn't really matter if you don't cook it all the way, not to mention maybe put some kind of seasoning on it. Absolutely bland. Also cold. Brisket nachos cold. Also appeared to have just been warmed up in the microwave, but not quite enough to actually be warm. A mushy mess. The brisket on top had a good flavor if it weren't so absolutely dry. The queso that came with the nachos was flavorless except for the odd sourness like maybe it went bad ?
