I have been craving some good fried fish tacos lately & visiting family in town for the weekend. I ordered the street fried fish taco - it was definitely "street" quantity. There was barely anything there, but what was there was good enough. Very disappointed after seeing this "specialty taco". NOTHING special about it besides maybe the flavor of the avocado crema sauce. Compared to what I thought I was getting, this is hilariously bad. The fish portion is ~3.5in long by 1in & more soggy breading than anything else - absolutely no crispiness to it. Not a good first impression for me, Rusty... I'll stick to my much better, much cheaper local place to satisfy my taco cravings.

Really great atmosphere. I really liked the dynamite shrimp taco. Also highly recommend the chips and queso.

One word..AMAZING!! Great food, friendly staff and great atmosphere. Food came out very quick and hot. Margaritas were nice and cold and tasted amazing. The queso is fantastic! I can’t wait for warmer weather to use the outside patio.

This use to be our spot, but has seemed to go downhill recently. I went to pick up my online order, front door was locked ?‍♂️ So I went in the side door (where this sign was), staff just laughed when I said they may want to put a sign up on the front door. Decent food but rude staff & generally unclean. Unfortunately I don’t think we’ll be back.

Stopped in and ordered two things with Quesso, didn’t get queso on anything. One was nachos. Didn’t get told that before hand, and also still paid full price. They told us it’d be 25 mins for queso after we waited 15 mins already.

We saw it was under new ownership and thoughts we’d give it a try again since our first visit upon their opening was not that great. The flyer we received offered $3 margaritas and tacos over the weekend. We were told upon arrival “the register isn’t updated yet, they’re waiting for the IT guy and I can’t do a discount”. So we ordered anyway and got a small margarita and very small taco for normal price and our bill was over $20 for two. They only had two of the margarita flavors out of the 5 or 6 listed. Again very disappointed with the sizes for the money. If they were very good, it would almost be worth it but the sizing reminds me of appetizer size at an open house or ribbon cutting event.

Very good meal just a little on the price. I agree with several other posts that the cleanliness could be improved. The trays that food came on were not cleaned very well.

Not bad at all. The tacos were a bit small, but very tasty. I will be back.

I’ve been going to the West Des Moines location since they opened, either dining in or taking out. One of my standby items is the grilled chicken nachos. But, I’m not going to order that again or any of the nachos for takeout any longer as they’ve switched to a smaller container where you get half the serving for the same full price ($8.75). Tonight I received a handful of chips with some toppings, net value maybe $3. Normally you get a full container that could practically feed two people. This was more like a small side dish. With a soft drink and tip I paid more than $14. I won't be ordering this again, at least not for takeout.

This place was a favorite of my husband and I. We came in today wondering what was different. Every single table was dirty so we picked one that had a clean spot at the end. Usually you get greeted right away, but nothing. Ordered chips and queso, which was only filled half way in the already small dish. I ordered extra avocado on my taco, only had a small thin slice. After getting our food we still had to wait for the margaritas. Once they showed up there was no salt on the rim. I never complain, but incredibly disappointing and won’t be back.

Had the brisket breakfast tacos so very good even had a beer named Ruthie... my name btw. Atmosphere was good sat outside. Great highlight from our trip to Iowa

The tacos are flavorful. The down-side is that the size of the tacos are very small, being because they're "street tacos".. and they're expensive. $4.25 + tax for one taco that takes 3-4 small bites to finish is something potential customers may want to reconsider if they have a big appetite, but don't want to put a big dent in their wallets. In my opinion, you're better off spending your money elsewhere.
