So much fun! You can play for tickets or just for fun. Alcoholic slushies are tasty, I highly recommend the mango flavor! Cocktails are reasonable, and with $50 of play, you get an extra $10; good for 2 ppl to play for 2 hours.Parking: If you get there early, you can find parking right outside.Wheelchair accessibility: Lots of wheelchair accessible games.

This place is it. I love the whole theme of this place. During the day it's family friendly and we take the kids to play on the arcade machines. At night is date night and fun for the adults. I enjoy coming I. And having a drink or two. They offer unique brews that's local to the area as well. Staff is also very friendly and funny.

This fun arcade has about all the games you can handle for a couple hours. Plenty of drink options- but NO, they don’t serve unsweet tea. It’s minus half star for me for that lol. But everyone else got all they could handle, and the champion of the night was not the guy who said he would win every game all night long! At the end though, we all had fun and won tickets. It’s about a quarter the size of the popular game arcade bar you might know of, but this place isn’t for kids, so you don’t need all the space!

The operating room is my favorite place to go when I want to feel like a kid again (with some wine or beer in hand of course.) I really love how unique this place is when it comes to the design, there’s great theming inside like art of human anatomy on the walls. There’s a great variety of games as well.

Expensive and somehow limited in its number and style of arcade games, the Operating Room is worth one trip but not more. The signature slushy drinks are expensive, sugary, and very light on alcohol. Selection of beers is limited and, again, expensive. The place is actually three rooms wide, but some of the games are so large it actually seems like a smaller place. Many of the games are high-tech but they are so expensive and difficult they'll make you wish this was a classic arcade from back in the age of quarters.
Really enjoy coming here with friends. Their bar is well stocked and it's fun to be able to grab a creative cocktail while playing newer games with nostalgic themes. I also appreciate that it's usually clean and service is always quick at the bar.

If you need a fun place to get together with your work group and don't want to break the bank doing it, I highly recommend The Operating Room in West Des Moines. Vanessa was great in helping organize our gathering and very responsive to emails and suggestions for our team. Josh was a fantastic bartender and took great care of us! We played some games and had a great time just getting away from the office for a few hours. The mini donuts were the bomb!
