Tried El Vaquero for lunch and was really impressed with both the food and the quick service. Despite it being fairly crowded our food came out quickly and hot. The portions were generous which made the prices not bad and it all tasted really great. Will definitely be back to try some of their other offerings, everything in everybody else's tables looked pretty darn tasty too.

The food was good but for that service I could have gone to Taco Bell and been almost as happy, and still fed. In hindsight I could have driven 30 minutes home and been as well off for free. I didn't know my business would apparently be so unvalued or I would have. I just ordered 2 el pastor tacos and the chips and salsa they brought to begin with. The female waitress gently tried to talk me into a lunch special with rice and beans but I'm on a tight budget. but I also needed to eat something before the drive home after a recent Sunday funeral for someone I didn't know well and didn't feel comfortable going to their family gathering, and this place wasn't far away and they had good reviews. But the service was sllloooowww. Mind you they were busy. But I also ordered ONLY 2 TACOS! Good service would expedite the 2 solitary tacos ahead of the group of 10 or however many. From when I sat down and got chips and salsa it took a long time to even take my order, and then it took a half hour from when I walked in and sat down and was given a menu to even get 2 TACOS. A HALF HOUR. I'm starving and patient in the moment, so I look up some things I need to look up on my phone. No checking back before or after. I still left a good tip based on percentage of order total but it's because I'm a good customer and have family who've waitressed. It certainly wasn't because she deserved it, because I also had to go up and ask for my bill. I couldn't help but think I was alone and "only" ordered 2 tacos (as a paying customer) so maybe she thought I'm not worth the effort, but not even 30-60 seconds worth? For a paying customer?! I ran out of water but she wouldn't have known, because she easily avoided or forgot me sitting at the one table for 2 by the door while she went to the people behind me at the larger table near the counter, or to the majority of the people on the other side of the divider in the main area of the restaurant. There are WAY too many options elsewhere, especially when I don't usually eat out, so I doubt I'll ever be back or recommend it, even for what was tasty food.

Food is always uniformly great, if you liked it before tomorrow it will be exactly the same, there are alot of choices, breakfast and lunch and take out available. Rosa and Maria are great hostesses and accomodating....they pay attention to detail. If you are looking for just food then, this is it! Five stars

Best authentic mexican food in town by far. We love the ladies who work as servers there, they know our whole family and treats us like old friends. Our family has been known to come in and buy the place clean out of chicken tacos ? The guys cooking in the back absolutely throw down too. Havent found a single thing in their menu I dont love yet, but I definitely have a few favorites. Tacos, Fajitas, Tortilla Soup, the molcajete, their Burrito Ala Crema, you name it, its gonna be good!
Great food and service! We have been eating here for more than 20 years. our favorite place in the West. Food is consistently the same and always server hot with a smile! Prices are very reasonable!

I'm traveling through from Arizona and this restaurant was recommended by a friend who lives 30 minutes away. I was a little skeptical walking in as it was about 5:30pm and no other patrons. Our food came out fast hot and delicious and felt it was a very reasonably priced. I left full & satisfied that I stopped.Parking: Plenty of room for rvs and motorhomes
The food is just too good to put down and although yes the place looks odd for a restaurant but the people here are really nice and they make some of the best food I've ever had

Grabbed Take-Out tonight, and the Pollo Con Arroz was Legit, and the Taquitos Rancheros were crispy and to quote my kid, "Buss'n" that means good to the rest of us.
