The bartender at the 44 club was very rude and ignored me. And I never got to sing my karaoke song because there was this guy who kept paying $20 to sing. So I never got a chance to sing. I do not recommend going to this place.

Place looks very divey on the outside. Looked like it might be a rough crowd. We weren't sure if this was going be a quick dip in dip out. We were pleasantly surprised when we got in. Everyone was super friendly and karaoke had just started. We arrived for karaoke on time but there were already ten people on the que so you might want to show up a bit early if you are going there for that. The DJ was friendly and very organized. He even remembered my wife's name with ten people ahead of her when she went to talk to him. He also offers to put you to the front of line for a $20 tip. Otherwise we had a great time. The participants were all very supportive and friendly. No divas, just people having a good time.

I'm not really a bar person but when it comes to karaoke I'm so there. It's slower and quieter then the overland which is nice. The regulars there are very encouraging and they use YouTube which gives you a infinite options. If they can find it, you can sing it.
