Disappointing, unprofessional service and painfully basic food. We ordered guacamole that desperately needed lime juice & salt. Our tiny table couldn’t even fit the 4 baking sheets our chips and tacos were served on so we sent one of the baskets back. The tacos themselves were simply forgettable. Not much flavor, no spice or dimension. As a Latina it’s kind of offensive to even call this a taqueria.If you don’t know anything about authentic Latino cuisine or enjoy bland overpriced food, this is your spot, otherwise you’re better off making tacos at home. Trust me.

The food and atmosphere are phenomenal. My expectations were exceeded and the barrio margarita was one of the absolute smoothest I have had. I did not have the opportunity to try any additional drinks but to have amazing food and drinks, yes please. I will definitely be back! Thank you for the amazing experience! I ordered the chips and guac with salsa, quesabirria, and steak quesadilla. All completely wonderful!

2/10/24Great afternoon at Barria! We loved it the adult only atmosphere. Our server was amazing (forgot her name but long dark hair). She truly made the experience with great recommendations and charisma.The Quesabirria Beef tacos were so delicious. I enjoyed the Barrio Margaritas with Tajin but all the drinks sound delicious.

We decided to come back to Barrio to give them another chance (see previous review) for dinner and drinks and were delighted that the Barrio was like we remembered it from our previous experiences (we even came back with out of state visitors the following week). The staff was great (even though it was crazy busy on our second visit on a Friday night), the food was very good (especially the Korean tacos), and the drinks were spot on from what we were used too (we both like the Barrio margarita). We have put the Barrio back on our 'rotation' list and look forward to enjoying the drinks/food again.

Never been and we are tequila affeciandos and decided to give this place a whirl. First impression as we walked in was it looked as if a bomb had gone off. Dirty tables everywhere. (Bon Iver background music seemed a bit out of place) We balked but continued in. Sat at a dirty table and they promptly cleaned it. The lone server took our drink order and we also ordered an appetizer. The appetizer came out promptly but not the drinks. Started mulling over an exit strategy.......l could go on. Bottom line is more servers and or service attendants would make this place a standout. I get what they are trying to do but the service suffers. Spend a little on good help, increase staffing and it will pay for itself twofold. Trust me. I was in corporate and private restaurant management for 23 years.

My husband and I were excited to try Barrio. Overall the drinks were strong and good. They are a bit pricey but were worth it. We had steak nachos and asked for no black beans. They were pretty good. I had the Mezcalita and he had The Diablo. The decor was nice, love the skull tapestry on the bench seats. I would just like to see some spanish music incorporated into your play list and that would tie in your whole vibe. Overall cute establishment for drinks, conversation and artisinal street food. We visited on a Saturday at 4pm, happy hour is everyday from 3pm-5pm.

Quesabirria Tacos were decent but the consome was way too salty. I know it’s in the nature of birria to be somewhat salty but was a little too much so.
I love the atmosphere at Barrio, it makes me want to go to Mexico and drink a margarita on the beach. Our service was phenomenal and the server was knowledgeable about the menu and gave great recommendations. The quesabirria tacos have amazing flavor that bursts in your mouth. The shrimp tacos were also very tasty but not as filling as I am used to for street tacos, however I would still come back for their food. Will definitely be back in the future.

We came for trivia night... stayed for the food and drinks. I had the Korean short rib tacos which were great. Our waitress Jasmine was excellent. The bartender named Dorian made both the best old fashion and margarita I've ever had. Great experience.

I know this is dumb, but I'm giving two stars as apposed to one for one major reason only. This is place is only 21+ which is not a problem other than their website and Yelp page both do not say that anywhere! We drove 30 minutes with our kids only to discover this as we walked in. We really wanted to try it, and maybe will when we get a sitter, but it was just incredibly disappointing and frustrating to find this out the hard way.

We have been regulars at Barrio since it opened and it soon became our favorite place in the neighborhood. Excellent craft cocktails, delicious food (fish tacos are amazing!) and fantastic service. The adult atmosphere is definitely the bonus to an already amazing establishment!
