Wow - the server was great, food was spectacular, and we loved the shakes. We’ve eaten at the one in Ashton and loved it too. This time we didn’t get the Big Jud but if you’ve never tried it, it’s a must do!!
Big Juds has the best steak fingers in Boise! Truly the gold standard. Their fries are meh, unsalted and mushy. Burgers are great! I was recently in the Big Juds on Protest and the employees were talking disparagingly about customers loud enough I could clearly make out the conversation seated in the back. That definitely was unprofessional and detracted from our experience.

This is one of the only burger places that I’ll ever go for a delicious burger! I have loved and cherished and adored this locally owned small business—since about 2003. Never once have I been upset or dissatisfied by anything they’ve ever done for me. They only aim to satisfy every customer as best as they can. They cater to you the most, as the customer. And hey! $5 shakes are a thing here, in case you are craving a delicious homemade shake!Kid-friendliness: They have a really cute kids meal menu, and I think they give you crayons too, but I’m not sure.

You order at the counter when you walk in and take a seat. The guy taking our order was friendly and basically just took our order to go and brought out our food. No real service to speak of.They have a pretty extensive burger menu with a few sides and shakes. I got a simple cheeseburger and thought it was really good with everything on it. Although I can appreciate the freshness of the fresh cut fries and I do like the steak cut style, I don’t like them soggy and limp.If I lived in the area, I’d give it another go.

Visited the BSU campus today and was looking for a burger place nearby and found Big Judd's. I ordered a Double Bacon Burger with no bun. The patties were thick and seasoned well. No complaints. I will come back for sure!

The burger I ordered was overcooked (med rare requested). What I got was chunks of ground beef overcooked and put in a bun with far too much mayo. This is our 3rd visit and will be our last. Very disappointed in the food quality and lack of value. Staff was great.

Thank you Big Jud’s for continuing making the KNOCK OUT burger that I enjoyed when I lived for Modesto for approx 63 years. You have surpassed the Scenic Drive in and their famous knock out they have been serving since 1956.
