Always had good experiences... until today. Ordered a Santana and wanted mayo, mustard, lettuce, tomato, and pepperjack instead of provolone. My fiancé also ordered his sandwich to have pepperjack instead of provolone. The person making our food even repeated our order. Got home and went to eat our food and we both were given provolone, and I got no mayo, mustard, lettuce or tomato. It might not sound like a big deal, but when I'm spending over $30 for two sandwiches and some sides to go, which in this economy is pretty pricey, I would hope my food would at least be made correct. It makes me sad because I was craving Hugo's for awhile, and now I will not be going back.

I usually go to the meridian location and absolutely love it there. I regret going to the Boise location. The service I received was horrible! The woman working behind the counter was so rude. She rolled her eyes at me, mumbled under her breath all because I asked for a moment to check out the menu. Saying "what do you want" is NOT how you speak to a customer. Ever. No other customers in line, so no reason to hurry me along. I was looking for no longer than 30 seconds. She absolutely ruined my experience there and I will never go back. Save yourself the attitude and head to the meridian location. To the rest of the staff, thank you for the kindness at the register. The young man was wonderful and so kind.

Hugo's has a 10/10 sandwich, but that isn't the main reason to stop at this fine establishment. If you are looking for the best piece of food that has ever made its way onto gods green earth you have to try their Jojos. This is more than just a fry, this is a literal blessing from Jesus Christ himself.
By far my favorite fries/jojos in all of Boise!! Been coming to the 5 mile location for decades. Love, love, love! And if you try the Hawaiian sandwich, you won’t be sorry.

Yikes. We came in on the day they were taking pictures for the best of boise? I am so surprised with the gall of this store to even run! The manager Lisa took my order, I guess. She turned around while I was halfway through my order, attempted to confirm my order and then did not deliver the sandwich I asked for. She also threw the sandwich onto my tray and said nothing. She was extremely rude, it was my first time in and I usually don't get bad service in my first time into local places. But Lisa was just rough. Even heard her take an order from another customer and then point to the couple behind them and say "they would love to kindly wait." When my partner took my sandwich back up to get it remade the order was made wrong again, afterwhich I returned to get it finally 75% correct. Lisa, after taking a group picture with the rest of the crew, came up to us and stated she removed my sandwich from our bill and then quickly ran away without saying anything else. Too little too late. First impressions are everything in the service industry and she failed it. I could also tell that all the peons around her were walking on eggshells around her and letting her just thunderstorm on the whole parade.That said, the night manager was absolutely wonderful. He should be made into whatever he wants here, he really was awesome. If he was the one who served us i definitely would have given 5 stars. He is the heart of the >4 star rating, and he himself deserves 5/5.

I have seen the way negative reviews are responded to by whoever responds to these. So I have removed my previous more honest review for fear of the response. I already have been made to feel small by this company today and I'd rather not a second time, especially for the money I spent. This review is for the consumers. I'll keep details to myself for fear of being blasted (that should tell you something, reader and you should check out their responses across the board on their platforms) . But I truly believe there are so many wonderful, kind and fantastic local businesses in this area to give your hard earned money to... this isn't one of them. Especially if you can't bring feedback without being met with inconsideration and snark. There is one beaming light in this business and it is their night manager. That man should run this space, he has heart and care and that is obvious. After years of going to the meridian locations, the foul experience at this location has kind of cured me from all of them right now. The power of customer service, you deserve kindness if you're giving your money to spaces in this economy. Be well Hugo's, be well.

If you're looking for a place with good food and great atmosphere this is the place, outstanding costumer service, awesome food, friendly smiles all around, I've been eating here for about 7 months now and never get tired of it, lots of variety, lots of laughs, will definitely be returning!
Wow! What a great first experience. My family and I drove past this location many times and finally decided to hit it up for dinner tonight. From the minute we walked in the door the service was impeccable. First thing they greeted my four year old and made him feel comfortable. They even made us a fresh batch of fries since it was our first time. Definitely will be a new regular spot. Kudos to Andre who really held down the customer service and was extremely professional and personable. We really appreciate the atmosphere and vibes. Thank you!

The young gentleman that made our sandwiches on 1/19 was very nice. The lady running the cash register (purple hair), wasn’t very nice and looked disgusted from the moment we walked in. Not sure why, we are dressed like everyone else. Maybe it’s because we pulled up in a big pick up? I’m not sure, but she never was friendly at all or very helpful. I’ve been coming here my whole life (Boise native, born & raised in this area). She seemed to be running the store but if that’s the case, with how we were treated we likely won’t be back.

Service was terrible, the girl with the purple hair was rude and did not wear gloves when messing with the food. Food was Terrible and tasted as if it had been left out for weeks. Ambiance was uncomfortable and did not feel welcoming at all. I've eaten here before at the other locations and they are so much better than this location. I'm surprised, and will never ever go back to any Hugo's Location.
