Janet's used to be good when it was owned by Janet. However, since she sold it, the place has gone downhill fast. I used to call it my 'Cheers' bar, but now I tell people not to go there. The food is terrible, and there's so many overly bright lights, signs, and loud TV's blaring. Tonight we gave it one last shot, ordered a Big No-No w/ no onion (which they put red onion on it again like the last time, and barely any cheese...again), the bread was stale, our mac n cheese was burned & tasted horribly stale & dried out, (we couldn't eat it), and a meatloaf sandwich was dry, stale, and also tasted off. A huge waste of $30, overpriced poor-quality food. They should just stop serving food before someone gets poisoned.

Great spot for a beer close to downtown. Easy to get to on the Bench. Came in for nachos and some canned cocktails. This was a dive bar I used to drive past, and it's never looked so nice. Staff was super friendly!

This place has really changed a lot the new owner has definitely put a lot of money into it and it looks great. I still go there once or twice a week for the food specials. I still think the food is the best in town especially on Fridays with their meatloaf special. Like I said inside looks amazing compared to four or five months ago which it was all right back then too but they have even put in a new area with more pool tables. I just wish customer service could improve some.A couple Fridays ago I stayed later than normal and after paying the tab for a friend of mine they charged her before giving her card back.I tried to say something a few times but the guy that was serving our area didn't really know what was going on and obviously a little bit more drunk than we were.As I'm an old face to the little blonde waitress who I usually see there the most had my friends card. I tried telling her .. "hey I already paid for it". But she swiped it anyways as she rolled her eyes. Apparently someone got a $60 tip on top of the $20 tip I gave on the original $60 to the drunk waiter that charged my card 5 minutes prior.Like I said the food is great customer service sucks. The place looks awesome. Good luck

Pinball!!! They have really great Pinball with a variety of good machines. They also have a ton of pool tables. Excellent service. Extremely friendly staff. Super chill atmosphere. Ridiculously good street tacos.10/10

My new fun hangout.This place has been here forever but has a new vibe. Drinks generous and bar food is above average. If you like to shoot some pool and catch some sports this is the hidden gem. Trivia on Wednesday if you are as smart as you think you are and if you are lucky to have Dotson as your server, you are in luck!

I found this place by Ubering Nick ( Owner ) to work. He had recently bought Janet's and since we are both foodie I had to try it! Chef Connor has created some great menu items. I typically get the Friday special Meatloaf, Mash Potatoes smothered in a very good homemade mushroom/ onion brown gravy. Side is a perfectly steamed broccoli.If your here for great sandwiches , don't expect Fries, see the picture of all the great sides available- unique!Full Bar & plenty of beers available, Mika will serve you , she is great! Glad I found this classic Boise Bar /Pool hall with a new foodie twist!
