First visit there and was excited to try their sushi. The restaurant was pretty full, so thought it had to be good. And the sushi looked good. We ordered a meal that came with a California Roll. I know that it is a pretty basic roll, but the Avocado in the roll was rotten. Tasted absolutely horrible. I'm sure they have better sushi rolls, but it kinda tainted my feeling towards ordering sushi here. If a simple ingredient like avocado is not fresh, I'm kind of worried about trying something else. BUT, there Filet Mignon Hibachi was superb and really good Miso soup. So bottom line, I will definitely go back for some of their other dishes. But I'm still up in the air about the sushi. And it took 40 minutes for my carry-out order to be ready.

We went to this place for my sister's birthday specifically for the sushi, the spicy tuna was not very good just had a kind of soggy texture, but they're crispy one was really good! We had to wait 25 minutes to get anything on the table after ordering and once we got our food I returned mine because it was way to dry and very little flavor, my sister on the other hand enjoyed her dish so that is a positive for them. I gave them three stars because the staff was very kind and understanding and immediately refunded for my meal. I would have liked to give them 5 stars but there were just too many things didn't make it worth that much.

I've been here a few times at both locations and the environment remains relaxed and professional every visit. The food is always delicious and fresh. I love coming to Sakana for sushi and other Asian dishes I crave. Would recommend to everyone.

*review is not about the restaurant or the food* The food was very good and the price wasn't bad. BUT..our waitress was UNBELIEVABLY RUDE. The minute we got there she had an attitude which continued the whole time we were there. we ordered the coconut tempura shrimp which is 14 DOLLARS. When we tried the shrimp, it had no coconut taste, texture, or smell at all. Out of the whole plate we only had 2 pieces out of about 15. When the waitress came back to give us our bill, i told her that it was not what i had ordered and was not coconut shrimp. SHE THEN PROCEEDED TO ARGUE WITH ME SAYING THAT IT WAS COCONUT SHRIMP AND "since we ate most of it" we couldn't do anything about it. I told her there was two pieces eaten and that i will not pay for something i didn't order. She continued by saying i did order it and can't help me. AFTER HAVING AN ARGUMENT IN FRONT OF MULTIPLE OTHER TABLES..she said she might be able to give me a 5% discount and walked away. She never came back to the table and had someone else bring the new check. I have never had a waitress/waiter argue with me in a rude tone telling me that i was wrong and she can't give me a refund. I don't plan on going back there because it was uncalled for and absolutely disrespectful. besides that, the food was fine. good luck! this is what the plate looked like when we left.

Go to this place. Hands down, best place in town for sushi. We got there before they opened, and the lady that works there let us in a half an hour before they opened just to sit down and wait for them to open and get out of the sun. Food was nothing short of amazing. Our new favorite. Thank you so much for the food and service!!!
